We had the Omakase menu for Lunar New Year, and it was amazing! The food was super delicious, and the quality was definitely worth the price. Totally worth trying!

The service is terrible. The server would not seat us at the table we wanted because the table was reserved but we also have a reservation. The food was bland and the vibe of the restaurant is not what it used to be. Very disappointed.

First time for my group of 8, got to share many dishes, loved the sashimi sampler, Aburi chef's selection, beef short ribs, grilled fish neck; but top favorite has to be the grilled octopus, carbonara udon, kinoko cheese bibimbap (did a repeat on this one). Excellent service, lively ambience but can talk comfortably. Highly recommend.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in my life. Once seated, it took 40 minutes to get my order taken and a simple glass of water. Then another hour for my food and wine to arrive. I had to watch a table that came way after me get served before me. Watched my order of underwhelming fries(2/10) sit on the counter for 15 minutes before it was brought to me. Of course by now it was ice cold but I was so hungry that I ate it because I had already waited so long. Sent back the edamame because it was a cold bowl of literal mush Brown and over cooked. Truffle udon was a sloppy mess. The only two decent things were the sashimi( because they didn’t have to cook it) and the chicken wings(6/10). I had to remind the server that he should be charging me the happy hour pricing. This experience was so awful and completely ruined my Christmas Eve dinner. I would never go back and I don’t recommend it to anyone. Stay away at all costs and eat literally anything else. The whole time I felt like I was bothering the staff by asking for the most basic things like napkins and a simple glass of water( I had to beg for a refill). The only thing they did efficiently was bill us out.

Food was cooked to perfection. Our waitress paced our meal between appetizers and desserts. Our favourite was the grilled octopus. The desserts seemed a little pricey at first but well worth it to finish an excellent meal. It was an excellent start to our holiday dining.

Had the omakase $66 per person for two and some drinks. Drinks were pretty good. Omakase was pretty good, fish was fresh, but there were some bit of scales that you usually wouldn’t expect. Service was okay as there seats were full. But it’s pretty hard to get a hold of someone.

These guys are really on top of their game with wonderful food and exceptional service! Highly recommended, in an area where it seems a surplus of good choices exists for the hungry diner, this izakaya really stands out. There are specials that change frequently, a deconstructed potato salad (bacon bits, fried onions, mayo, mustard, eggs, plus the namesake potatos) was absolutely shocking in the freshness and savouriness of its components, the sushi fish specials are always exceptionally tasty, the tempura and kalbi (ribs) are popular dishes (among other diners we noticed) for good reasons, very good and compelling reasons indeed! We particularly love the octopus dish which presents a really tender piece of invertebrate tentacle, plus potatos, backed with some very complex sauces involving garlic and miso. The rice plus protein (eg beef, pork, eel) bowls are remarkable as well, highly satisfying as comfort food if you desire that. Looking forward to going back regularly... Note too there is a happy hour daily up to 630PM with cheaper bar food items, eg fries and cheaper draft sapporo. Well worth the cheapness there!
