King Tide Fish & Shell, led by Executive Chef Alexander Diestra, is a riverfront seafood restaurant and bar inspired by the laid-back fishing lodges of family vacations gone by. With sparkling waterfront views of the Willamette, a welcoming energy and a menu that ranges from no-fuss to fancy, here at King Tide we serve fresh, inventive seafood dishes with local ingredients that are uniquely Portland.

There aren't many places that command the vantage point we enjoy here at King Tide, so we like to make sure it lives up to Portland. We do that with a blend of the traditional and the non, the comfortable and the slightly twisted, the satisfying food and the swinging drink.

As we like to say, King Tide is where food & drink & people always complement each other, and everything goes with the view.

Awesome time tonight. Just moved here and looking for our local, hangout, joint. Great cocktails. Great food but the service from Francesco was the best. We had the home baked bread. Unreal. The risotto (added shrimp) was delicious. Definitely add a protein!!! My husband had the salmon. Loved it. Cocktails: The Ralph Waldo - sweeter martini, very good. But the Snowcap was the bomb!!

My friend nor I had had a Cosmo in many years and it was on the menu so we decided to try it and it was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Fabulous bartender. Really great waiter and service. And the food was delectable. I had the salmon my friend had the scallops. Both amazing I’ve been here many many times over many many years. Better than ever.

Definitely for a celebration, prices are steep but make sense for what you're getting.

I have been to King Tide several time, I had some uneven dinners, but it was particularly good Saturday. Two of us had the King salmon and one of us had the scallops and we were all impressed. Salmon and scallops are easily overcooked and all were perfect. The wine by glass is good, and our servers was excellent and got us out in plenty of time to make our show at the Keller auditorium. The space in the Riverplace Hotel with views of the Willamette is lovely, and parking is convenient.

Most of the food was good. The hash browns were very cold. Service was a bit lacking had to get attention to place an order, they were friendly however. The restaurant was almost empty. For the price, it should have been better.

Food was surprisingly disappointing from beginning to end. Salad was meh, Halibut was two small strips, breaded and fried… super hammered and rubbery, , overcooked by 10 minutes, with over roasted carrots that were black and so cooked they were tough. The lobster roll (cold) was under seasoned and maybe? Maybe 2 ounces? The waiter was delightful, the table by the windows blew cold air on us, every customer against that wall had their coats on the entire meal. Our first time there, and after a $100 plus meal for two, we went home and baked corn dogs. Seriously. Don’t.
