Welcome to Kapa Hale!

Kapa Hale has a modern influence on Hawai'i Regional Cuisine. We promote local products and combine them with familiar ethnic influences that showcase a cuisine that can only be found in today's Hawai'i.

We can help to celebrate life's special events -- whether it's a large party or an intimate prix-fixe menu. We can accommodate different styles of events -- cocktail reception, sit-down family style menus, etc. Chef Keaka Lee was recently recognized as a James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef in the Northwest and Pacific. And finalist for the Vegetarian category for the local Hale 'Aina Awards by Honolulu Magazine.

We're located next to Olive Tree Cafe, outside of Kahala Mall. We have a small, private parking lot.

It was the best meal we have had in our year and a half in the state of Hawaii. We'll be back soon!

Usually, my experience is good, but this time, I have to say I was a little disappointed. The appetizers were good, but the coffee was cold. Our wait staff remedied it quickly so that was okay. But then the entree came and it, too was cold. I was hungry and didn't want to bother returning it, but this was not acceptable food. The burger patty in the loco moco was also very tough and on the drier side. The taste itself was very good though. I just wish it was served at the correct temperature with the burger having a better texture. I will count this as a one-off and will definitely go again. As I said, the food is usually very good so, while I will go again, I hope the quality of the food becomes more consistent.

We had the prix fixed... very lovely appetizer trio. Food is always good, service is friendly and good. Nice place to dine. Always see neighborhood friends.

The food was very good. The service was okay; server took our orders, re-filled water glasses, served the food with little enthusiasm. Only when we were leaving she smiled and waved good-bye.

Our group of 5 retired friends were pleased with our mutual choice of the Hawaiian Cuban (sandwich). Layers of Kalua pig, laulau, easy over egg on crispy toasted sourdough…what’s here not to love? Yummm!

it was a bit on the noisy side; I guess it will always depend on who is dining. Service was great as usual. The locomoco was delicious; the mushroom sandwich was excellent; unfortunately the risotto was a bit too sweet for our taste.

Kapa Hale always serves up great food and last night was no exception! My table ordered a variety of dishes including the arancini, cornbread w/ both the lilikoi honey butter and uni butter, the Winter set menu (the favorite from that was the Funghi pasta), the steak, the Hawaiian lechon, and many other dishes. Everything was crafted to perfection! The service was excellent as well! They gifted us an order of brussel sprouts to start since they felt the food was taking longer than normal, which was so kind of them (and the Brussels were delicious!). The chef came to our table at the end of the night to thank us for supporting and apologize again for the wait, which we didn’t think was that bad since we were lost in conversation. I guess that shows how attentive they are and it was a nice gesture for the chef to come to the table himself. We will definitely be back!

This place has potential. I saw this was in the consideration for a james beard award. Overall value wise this place is a solid pick. Good food local ingredients. What needs improving but I think it will. The wine list was "in transition" our waitress said as the wine we chose by the glass was not available. The staff not really knowing the wine list is something to improve. The overall look of the bathrooms. They desperately need remodeled. Overall good food at a fair price. It is not fine dining. It is local dining and that is ok if that what you are expecting.
