Kaiju Sushi in Sherman Oaks stands out as the premier sushi destination in Los Angeles. Having dined at numerous sushi establishments across the city, I can confidently say that Kaiju offers the freshest fish, consistently delivering exceptional quality. The upscale ambiance enhances the dining experience, making each visit memorable. Despite relocating miles away, I find myself returning to Kaiju Sushi, a testament to its unparalleled excellence.

I’m guessing one of my orders got lost. I had been waiting a long time for my last order and when I inquired about it, the chiefs behind the counter looked confused.

We really enjoyed our experience here. The nice women who was our server was so friendly and attentive. The sushi chef as well was attentive and very fast at making our sushi. We enjoyed the sake, yellowtail carpaccio and the miso soup with clams. All delicious.

Not impressed! I mean no disrespect to others' comments, but our experience was quite different from the positive reviews here. While the ambiance was enjoyable and the service friendly, the food fell short. Given that LA is known for its sushi, Kaiju didn't meet expectations in terms of quality and presentation. The rolls were unrefined and heavily masked with sauces, which didn’t help their lack of flavor. While the portions are generous and filled with rice, I prefer more substance. The prices are reasonable, but I won’t be returning, especially with other great sushi options in the Valley mainly on Ventura.

This was the first time we had been to Kaiju Sushi, but it won't be the last. Thanks for Sushi Chef, James, we were introduced to our new favorite spot. Every bite was a burst of flavor that can only be experienced with the freshest sushi & sashimi served in the way each individual fish was meant to be served. James, always knows how to release the best in each bite, and I am sure he appreciates the purchasing expertise of Kaiju's owner, Daniel. His hospitality, James' expertise and the amazing service by the staff are all reasons why we will be back very soon. Looking forward to sharing this new find with more of our friends!

This is our new favorite sushi restaurant! They have a great selection of specialty rolls and the staff make us feel welcome and they remember us. They always have a great attitude making our experience fun.
