Arrived at 6:35 for a 7 reservation. Was seated at 7:15 after checking in twice with the hostess. Was seated without menus. Only after multiple people in the section were seated did they return and pass out menus. Had to request waters after multiple tables around requested waters. Had to request table setting items like soy sauce and napkins. Food was good, but hard to ignore the service issues across the board.

Valentines reservation made 1 week ahead - we were seated promptly but waited 20 min to be greeted & place our drink & dinner order. Entrees arrived before starter, soup or salad. Our non-alcoholic drinks never arrived, we were told bartenders were “backed up” (??). Entrees were served barely warm, not hot. Waited 15 minutes after we were finished to be checked on. Servers were pleasant but unorganized/overwhelmed.

Both of our miso soups were cold. The dumplings were cold. I got the chicken/lobster hibachi. It wasn’t hot. My Yum Yum sauce wasn’t brought out and the waiter said he would be right back with it. 10 mins passed and nothing. By then my food was cold. I told them I want it to go. They hand me a to go box which was too small to fit my dinner in. So half of it spilled on the table. THEY should have taken it back and put my dinner is an appropriate take out box. There was no recognition by the restaurant of the lack of good food or service. We were still expected to pay full price. The hostess did not acknowledge me when I said the service was poor and just walked away.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. I feel like the food is really lacking in flavor and taste and for the price it should have some kind of flavor other than a random pepper flavoring. Even the noodles and fried rice were lacking in flavor The salad is yummy and so is the dressing. The soup is basically just a beef broth flavor. Nothing special. I would not go back. I’ve given it two tries. Not worth it. Other hibachi places are much better
