I’ve been four times now and Josephine never disappoints. The strip au poivre never is my go-to! The service is top notch and the environment is warm and cozy. My fave place in Old Town.

The place is beautiful and food is good. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. A pleasure! However the petite lady located at front that took us to the table had an attitude that was really uncomfortable. We ll return just hoping this lady is no longer helping us.

We were there to celebrate the retirement of two of my wonderful former colleagues, who long ago became cherished friends. We couldn’t have had a better time! Service, table, food, and drink were the best. Lunch couldn’t have been more enjoyable!

The classic dirty martini on the menu for $23 is premixed and terrible! It hosted to be so good!

Our third time to Josephine, and it never disappoints. The service is excellent - they are seasoned pros. Steak tartare and oysters were an exceptional start and we tried the pappardelle parisienne this time which was phenomenal. And of course cannot go wrong with burger or steak frites. The only downside was how cold it was in the Atrium where we sat, but not a deal breaker.

Absolutely the best dining experience I’ve ever had! Starting with the front of house staff, to the manager who checked up on us, to the waitress! This waitress! Can’t remember her name, but so much knowledge about the menu, everything was quick, beautiful and delicious. She was truly a wonderful part of our belated Valentines Day! Had mussels as an appetizer, steak frites and Bouef Bourguignon, and then amazing desserts all on her recommendations. She even gave us a doggy bag with some of the Bouef gravy for our pup at home. He loved it as well! The place is beautiful. Outside looks wonderful for summer brunches. Out of 5 stars this place is a 10!

A beautiful ambiance greets the guests to Josephine. We were escorted to he second floor where soaring coffered ceilings, wood paneling and comfortable seating greeted us. Our waitress provided clear information on the food as we inquired about several of the offerings. The cod croquettes were an excellent first course; my duck cassoulet was excellent, full of rich flavors. Though my wife chose an appetizer for her entree - onion soup - it was very satisfying on a cold cold evening. Dessert - creme brulée - was excellent - creamy with just the right amount of crystallized sugar. The complementary dessert offered by the house consisted of four tasty macaroons. Highly recommend!

The most delicious French onion soup and creme brulee. Highly recommend the lunch special - soup + sandwich combo.

Superb dining experience with excellent input from the wait staff. Dined at lunch on a Federal holiday so the number of customers was unusually small -- on the other hand, it was quiet and made for easy conversation. The soup (French onion) and sandwich combo was a real bargain. This was my fourth time, including both lunch and dinner. so Josephine is clearly a favorite desintation.

Wonderful atmosphere reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. Atrium space I so airy and beautiful. The food was superb and seasoned well. Keep room for some dessert! That opera cake is no joke and not overly sweet.
