Le damos la bienvenida a The Jolly Fisherman, Craster. Se trata de un pub renovado con buen gusto, que cuenta con la tradición y el carácter en su corazón, y que combina impresionantes vistas al mar con deliciosa comida casera y cervezas bien conservadas. El establecimiento ha puesto gran cuidado en conservar el encanto de este pub histórico con suelos de piedra, techos bajos con vigas y cómodos asientos. En los meses de invierno, los clientes pueden relajarse cerca de una de las hogueras crepitantes, y en verano disfrutar de la vista desde una de las más espectaculares cervecerías al aire libre en Northumberland.

The fish pie and chowder were ‘to die for’ . View was perfect and the waiting staff were friendly and respectful.

Been a number if times over last couple of years and food really let us down today. Lamb, so tough and pork was all fat. I know this can happen with meat, but even the roasties were hard on the inside and cardboard like instead of crispy, Surrounds beautiful, staff and service brilliant, food poor.

Lovely ambience, friendly helpful staff but limited menu. Cod dish very good. Mussels and chips nice but over priced. Calamari wasn’t fresh which we would have expected for the price. Not our first time here, was always a favourite but not in a rush to return.

Light lunch with a pint and a half of the Pale (presume made by Timothy Taylor?) Crab soup delicious as ever. Kipper very fresh and beautifully cooked and the crab toast with jalapeños was good too.

Excellent quality food served by an extremely helpful hostess who couldn’t do enough to make our visit perfect. The atmosphere was comfortable despite the restaurant being fairly quiet and moving through to the snug after the meal enabled us to play dominoes with drinks until closing time without feeling we were outstaying our welcome. Between the 4 of us we had the North Sea trout, 2 steak and ale pies and a Jolly’s steak burger, all generous helpings and very tasty. We had no room for dessert. All in all a great evening and we will be back on our next trip to Northumberland.

This is the second time we have eaten here. The fish pie is the best we have tasted! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
