Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

We thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and salmon dishes and the ambience was fantastic. Our server Rachel did an excellent job and was attentive to our every need.

We did not get to eat, due to “technical issues” in the kitchen. It was the longest hour and 15 mins, I ever had to wait for food, my daughter got impatient so we cancelled and left.

First visit to Joe’s Crab Shack in search of good seafood with options for our non-seafood family. Celebrating a birthday with seven people on my tab was not as expensive as I expected. Our server was very professional and patient with us. He engaged us in general conversations and was available to meet our many requests. The food took awhile to prepare but it was worth the wait.

I was so disappointed in the food. We were greeted by two very nice people. This has always been our favorite place to eat when we come to Tempe. The food the boil was over cooked and not hot. The seasoning was baked on very strange. My salmon was cold, the jasmine rice was in a ball cold . We mentioned to wait staff and another person wearing black clothing but only said sorry .
