Javier's Irvine Spectrum serves original Mexican cuisine. Opened in 2004 and located close to the 405 and 5 freeways, the restaurant offers numerous entrees and combo meals. Javier's Irvine Spectrum selects and serves only the freshest ingredients, including sustainable and in-season seafood, natural chicken and center-cut #1 prime Angus beef. Every dish is prepared fresh to order, and guests may sit in the spacious main dining room, on the intimate patio, at the bar or in a private dining area.The dining room is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday until 11:00 p.m. Javier's Irvine Spectrum's full bar is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Reservations are accepted.

Server was positive and knowledgeable. Previously had been to Javier’s and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately this time was not the same. While there are a few vegetarian options, the green sauce and rice are made with chicken stock and thus not available as options anymore for vegetarians which was a disappointment. Additionally the food was quite salty. Overall not the delicious food I remember. Also requested at high chair at time of reservation and upon checking in for reservation but never got one.

Great ambiance, amazing decor, food is amazing, but expensive. Outstanding experience overall. Worth every penny!

Javier’s Irvine is a beautiful restaurant. It has great ambience and lively, but not overwhelmingly loud music. The food that we had was very good. My husband had the tomatillo enchiladas and I had the chicken mole enchiladas. Both came al a cart and beans and/or rice were an additional side order. The margaritas were just OK. I expected a great margarita from Javier’s, and it was a bit watery for me. Overall, very good experience.

Our service was great.. Liliana was great as our server and the bus boys were on point keeping table clear of extra clutter. Rather have went to Newport Beach Location due to the Irvine Spectrum location is more for locals in the area and shoppers. Local hipsters were rude an entitled treating the servers like less of them and the restaurant’s lack of control between the bar area and tables. However, I can see how that’s happening with the entitled attitude we saw the local customers have. They don’t listen and have purposefully abandoned their self awareness. Witnessing how the staff repeatedly asked them to move out of the way and they didn’t listen. Overall, food was great, service great, skip this location if you can due to the atmosphere created with that type of crowd.

Overall, it was great. This is always a good restaurant where you can count on good food but if you see someone walking in with a walker that is obviously in their 80s why would you seek them at a table where they have to walk up steps?

Everything was good ! The only thing was the waiting time , had reservación at 9:30 and they gave a table at 10:40 ,
