   I had been here a couple of times but my husband had never been and was really wanting to try the place. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation but had to wait for another table to leave and be cleaned before we were sat. The server was friendly and attentive even though it seemed to be very busy. The food was excellent - I had the chow mein and my husband had the Dan Dan Thai, which he also enjoyed. We had the mango cauliflower bites as a starter which were excellent. The restaurant was very loud which did make conversation more difficult. However , overall it was a good dining experience.

   My only complaint is that the main meals came very quickly after ordering. I like to have time to chat and have a cocktail - I wasn’t even finished my salad and the mains came. Everything else was wonderful.

   The food and service were excellent! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The braised beef tacos and cauliflower bites were delicious. We also enjoyed the Pumphouse Pilsner on tap.

   1st time visiting James Avenue Pumphouse. Loved the look of the restaurant. We were sat right near the glass overlooking the pumps which was nice. Our waitress was excellent, and the food was really good. The only negative I have is that the noise level is fairly high. It is like that in a lot of restaurants though. Good place for a group of friends, and 1 block from the Centennial Concert Hall which is great before an event. Overall, would definitely go back.

   It was an amazing experience. We had a great time! Our server, Sydney, was very welcoming and helpful. I guess I found my new favourite spot!

   Great experience. Really cool surroundings with the huge windows for viewing the 100yr old pump house. Great food options, fun vibe. Try the Perogi...it is a must order!!

   Our food was fantastic and well-prepared. However, the service left something to be desired. Our server rarely checked on us, and we had to wait over 20 minutes just to receive our bill. While the meal itself was enjoyable, a more attentive staff would have made the experience even better.
