Jam Delish is an independent family-owned Caribbean vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Angel, Islington. Founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, their idea was one that came purely from their desire to bring their grandparents authentic, traditional Caribbean recipes from their family home to the London food scene, with a fresh and modern take, inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household. Fusing their love for plant-based food with their Caribbean roots, they identified a niche gap in the market for authentic, Modern Caribbean Vegan Cuisine. With five-star reviews across the board from both customers and food critics alike, the siblings have now opened their first ever flagship restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Angel, Islington.

Incredible food. But nothing is perfect. Mash was cold in both dishes and rice is underwhelming. The jerk oysters and the skewers are so delicious. The roti dips are so yummy, I wish they sold them in jars for home! The fries are great. The sweets are a little left to be desired. The service was fine albeit not super friendly (as in, no-one was going out of their way to create a great experience), we were sat by the swing door to the kitchen which is not the best placed table and we did have the (fantastic) chef slam the door against the wall in anger/frustration right by us, which obviously was not great. But probably understandable - it can be stressful in a kitchen. The worst thing of all is the toilets - just really badly maintained (our first two times weren't as bad regarding the hygiene). Mess (as in human secretions) on the floor and toilet seats, toilet paper on the floor, no hand tissue in the dispenser, cramped cubicles that force you to touch the dirty walls and rub against the toilet to get out, despite there being a big space outside the cubicles. The best thing of all is the food. Overall it is really yummy. Although, not sure the prices are justified. But that's restaurants! It was our third time and we will be back because it is yummy.

Disappointed by first impressions. Toilet was filthy and had to ask for them to be cleaned. Water glasses- one smelled awful and the other we could taste the detergent left on. They quickly changed it. Serving team were didn’t help to create the experience for us. It would have been a good idea to welcome us to the experience and explain how the courses would be given, however the food was just brought with barely an explanation of what they were. One waiter completely forgot the main dish ingredients and another had never heard of a rum spirit we asked for and we had to explain 4 times what it was - the leading Jamaican rum! In a Jamaican restaurant. The food was ok and we probably would have enjoyed it more if it felt more like a supper club and not like a fast food eatery

We had such a lovely supper club experience. We've been before for the normal menu, but this definitely felt elevated. We'll definitely be back soon!

We chose as many dishes as we could share. All the food was excellent - we loved in particular the doubles, roti, curry goat and the coleslaw! Also enjoyed the banana cake and chocolate festivals. Very happy vegan eating! 😊
