At the Island Way Grill, we're all about fresh fish. Our own boats make daily trips to the middle grounds to bring back fresh tuna, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it's any fresher, it is still in the gulf. Most of our cooking revolves around our oak and citrus fired open pit, which sears at an extremely high temperature and adds a delicious smokiness to everything grilled. You'll find an abundance of fresh herbs and only the best quality seasonings. Fresh vegetables are used throughout our menu, and all soups and sauces are hand-prepared. We are also proud to provide an excellent selection of the worlds best oysters flown in fresh for your enjoyment. In addition to our menu, our chefs prepare a varied assortment of daily specials that always add an element of interest to our every-day offerings.

Habíamos visitado este restaurante en otras ocasiones y nos gustaba mucho pero en esta ocasión la comida no nos gusto mucho, la carne estaba sobre cocida e intentamos cambiarla pero el mesero argumentó que así la servían ahí.

We had an 8:15 reservation, and when we arrived were told there was a 30 minute wait because they had overcommitted their reservations, and didn’t have enough tables due to the rain (you can’t reserve for outside, but they banked on them being available) meanwhile the rain had been in the forecast and no one was ready for it. When we were finally seated, they had opened up some tables in a private event space they had. It couldn’t look more like a nursing home cafeteria. Several guests were asking to be moved to other parts of the restaurant bc they too felt ridiculous sitting in this cafeteria style space. At my suggestion they finally dimmed the lighting and piped in some music. I really wish we had left - there are so many dining options and if I had to wait 30 minutes to be seated in a crappy room, I could have gone anywhere else. The food was fine, the server was lovely and of course, not one manager came over to see how we were after we told the server the experience was really poor. As a local and frequent diner, as much as I have supported the group’s restaurants, I think this might be our last visit for a while.

The room was extremely loud. Had to wait 30 minutes longer than our reservation. My steak was good but presentation was horrible. Just threw a piece of meat on a plate and a few fries and here you go. Better presentation in a diner. Special was ok but far from special. We’ve been here several times but for such this will be the last.

Great meal in a great setting! Emily was an outstanding server. Her recommendations were spot on. Great sushi rolls and fresh seafood. We will be back on our next trip to Clearwater Beach!

Great service from our waiter…always such great service from the wait staff. Dinner was great, we ordered Poke bowl, Island style seafood bowl, Bacon wrap scallop pasta, Virginia oysters, coconut shrimp. I had the cedar plank Salmon which was a disappointment, the salmon piece was a small very thin tail section that a glop of strong sauce on it which overpowered the salmon. Cedar plank should be part of the seasoning and basted in a garlic butter or something. Otherwise the meal was good.
