Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Really enjoyed our lunch at Imaad’s Syrian Kitchen. The food was well presented and so delicious. Great variety and some different flavours than we had experienced before. Good service and lovely environment- will definitely eat there again.

Amazing colours and flavours. Falafel and batata harra outstanding, all the mezze are. The okra main dish was also excellent. Will definitely come back!

Delicious food and exciting choice of wines. The only issue we found was that the tables were too close together, it felt like we were sitting with the table next to us and it also made moving between tables difficult. Otherwise, an excellent lunch and would recommend. The pittas were outstanding.

My favourite restaurant in London. This place has heart & soul! The food is fantastic and the service excellent. Can’t wait to return!

Delicious, wonderfully spiced and flavour-balanced dishes (a particular highlight being the lamb shoulder dish) in a friendly, buzzy atmosphere. We will definitely return.

We are visiting from California and I saw this on the Michelin app. I came for dinner tonight with my husband and 3 kids. We ordered a bunch of foods and ate everything family style. Every single dish was phenomenal. The first bite to the last was all delicious. For starters we got the hummus, labrot, dukkah, batata harra, falafel, zaharaa harra, za’atar pita, garlic pita. For the meals we shared shish tawook, mudakhan ghanam, tahini kofta. It was all amazing. Kids loved the potatoes, falafels, chicken kabobs, and lamb patty the most.

This was the best meal we had in London (by far). Absolutely fabulous food. The hummus was stunning (loved the crunch garbanzo’s on top), as was the fresh-from-the griddle pita. The lamb kafta, perfect. And the lamb shoulder was beyond delicious. Desserts…. Wow… pistachio ice cream, perfection. And the dessert with milk, rose water, etc….. was one of the greatest things we have ever tasted.

As a vegetarian, there was so much variety and each dish was absolutely delicious! Also enjoyed the wine (I had the red by the glass). Overall, we had a lovely meal - I was still thinking about the food the next day which is a great sign! Staff were friendly and attentive - they just needed to bring more cutlery - very minor thing.
