This was our second Thanksgiving there and if we had this experience the first time we would not have come back. We were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time, our table was too small for our party, we received the first course before we even received our drink order, and our Thanksgiving meal was served cold, stuffing soggy, and we had to ask for basic things like serving utensils and salt/pepper. Service was chaotic at best, and they could not handle the amounts of people/reservations that were there. Such an opposite experience than last year, we will not be back.

We celebrate Thanksgiving and Xmas at Il Fornaio in Walnut Creek every year for several years now.. Almost everything is very good except for the service. The wait in our cocktails and food was ridiculous. This issue is every year.

Service was good. Food was ok but Caesar salad is not the best. Dressing tasteless and wet romaine. Turkey dinner was good. Soup was outstanding!

The restaurant was very festive and beautiful. It was very busy as it was Thanksgiving day. The service was good, however the food was not hot when served. It was barely warm. Hot food should be hot when served!

I always enjoy eating at Il Fornaio. They have a great selection of choices on their menu. For holidays, they have a set holiday meal as well as other options. The service is great and everyone is friendly and helpful. The decor is lovely and the layout is perfect. There are two “enclosed porch” areas as well as the main restaurant seating. I believe there is something for everyone.

Great food! Party of 8 for a Thanksgiving dinner. We had a few traditional meals and a few non turkey dinners. Cesar salad was fabulous, bread yummy, pasta delicious. Yams were so good. Cranberry quality tart and scrumptious. Turkey moist and tasty. Ham holiday meal also very very good! Service very attentive. We were not rushed through a meal although they were packed.

We had a great time. There was a little misunderstanding but the waiter corrected it to our satisfaction right away!
