When we were seated they didn’t give us drink menu or early dinner special menu. The courses came way too fast even though I had asked to space things out. My long island ice tea was $19.25, the most I have ever paid anywhere. Food was good, except Bernaise sauce was lumpy.

I wanted to share feedback regarding the dining experience on New Year’s Eve, two nights ago, from the perspective of both my fiancé and myself. After giving the situation a couple of days to reflect on, I’d like to provide a thoughtful and neutral account of the evening. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. We were seated promptly at around 8:17 for our 8:15 reservation, but it was 30 minutes before drinks arrived, at 8:48. The delay was explained as due to a backlog at the bar, which was appreciated, but the wait still stood out as a negative aspect of the evening. Additionally, after ordering entrees, the sides were missing when the food was delivered at 9:20. The server apologized and explained the kitchen had been busy, and while the sides were eventually brought out, they were removed from the bill, but the drinks were not adjusted. The experience began on a positive note, with a warm welcome from the hostess. However, there was a noticeable delay in receiving water and drink orders, with about 7 minutes passing before being attended to. The appetizer arrived quickly after being ordered, but the timing of the rest of the meal was less ideal. The entree order was placed around 9:03, and while the server was polite and offered more bread, the food’s delivery without the sides was an unfortunate oversight. Once the sides were brought out by one of the gentlemen in suits, he too offered an apology for the delay, which was appreciated. Despite the service challenges, the quality of the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere remained welcoming throughout the evening, especially considering the mobility challenges that come with using crutches. It’s possible that the expectations associated with dining at Hyde Park contributed to the level of disappointment regarding the service delays and the handling of errors. Given these factors, the overall experience did not meet the standard one might anticipate at a venue like this.

Excellent filet and ribeye. Au gratin gruyere potato side was very flavorful. Service Excellent. Wine list not extensive but good choices.

We arrived about 15 minutes early and were immediately seated. Waiter delivered food in a relaxed manner and everything was prepared to order and hot. Highly recommended.

First time customers and we had a wonderful experience. We were there for an early NYE dinner and were not disappointed. Our server, Chris, was helpful and a professional, very nice. Would recommend and will return.

Once again the food and the service at Hyde Park was exceptional . From the seafood tower to the lobster and filet mignon , the food was delicious. We enjoy dining here as the staff makes our family feel special . You won’t be disappointed!!
