Hudson and Essex is the premier restaurant of Mansfield’s rustbelt revitalization. Our sleek elegant space showcases a distinctive menu featuring local purveyors and wine from our own Cypress Hill Winery. We left smelling like a camp fire. Apparently they have a fireplace that randomly malfunctions and fills the entire place with smoke. The steaks were delicious but it was hard to enjoy them when all we could smell was smoke. 10-15 minutes between courses felt like an eternity.

We moved away for a few years but recently returned to the area. We used to enjoy Hudson & Essex often! We finally made it back today for Sunday brunch and it was as good as we remembered! Varied menu, excellent service and delicious meals! We're glad to be back!

The vibes and ambiance were wonderful, as was the service. We ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer and they were delicious. For our meals, we ordered off the specials - a seafood etoufee and the Korean BBQ ribs. The entrees were both good, not amazing. The cauliflower salad that came with the ribs was not good however, there was a vinegar sauce and it was extremely strong. Additionally, while the restaurant cannot control the other patrons, there was a table who were loudly talking politics (post election). When a manager (maybe owner) walked over to ask about their meal, they continued to talk loudly about politics and it was a giant vibe killer and not what we wanted to hear on a planned night out at an upscale restaurant where we were spending $100+ for our meal.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Every bit of the food was great! We got Crème Brûlée for desert, best we have had so far!
