Decided to try this new restaurant for my husband's birthday. Great ambiance and fun selection of food on the menu. The cocktails were great. The unfortunate thing is that even though all of our meals were put in together they all came out separately. I understood that for mine, because it was a salad. My husband's came out 2nd. My daughter's meal did not come out until a significant time after my husband and I had completely finished eating our meals. We also had to ask the waiter about her meal. He didn't seem to think it was odd that we hadn't received it yet? We also had to follow up on re-ordered drinks. I don't think there is anything wrong with an order or drink taking longer time but the waiter should be able to speak to where and when the item is coming. I think the food is good, but the service and timing still need some work for this new restaurant.

Flavors were mostly good. One pasta special was just too salty but otherwise flavors were good. Portions were small and though meant to be shared it was hard to actually devide the food for sharing. 4 people really do need at least 6 plates. We don't eat huge portions but all had plenty of room for desserts after sharing 6 plates.

Great website and easy to make a reservation. This was our first experience at HLP. The ambiance of the restaurant is a little cool. There are a couple of tables by the back window that are fairly private. Otherwise, the seating consists of small tables with a long bench seat and chairs. Not as private as I would prefer. The menu is fairly limited and consists of small, sharable tapas style options. We had the charcuterie board and the special, which was spaghetti in tomatoe sauce with clams. The charcuterie board was good, although it lacked cheese and came with a couple slices of tough, toasted bread (we asked for more bread and it took 15 minutes to be served), $25. The pasta was undercooked, very al dente. Small portion for $25. We both ordered the casablanca cocktail, which was good, $12ea. We were excited to check out this new restaurant so close to home. A little disappointed, although there are so few restaurants in SE Boise, we'll probably give it another shot. Cheers.

Everything we had was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and made great pairing recommendations. We’re so excited to have this caliber of restaurant in the area. Can’t wait to return!

Food is portioned for sharing and served family style. There is no need to order more than one main dish. Budgets friendly for a higher end restaurant and the flavorful menu met our expectations for a restaurant associated with The Lively. I can’t wait to go again and try more menu items.

Exceptional service! Delicious chimichurri porterhouse with roasted potatoes. Incredible charcuterie board. Recommend potatoes & pasta, and cauliflower steak. Perfect for 2-4!

The service was amazing . We never had to ask for anything . Our waitress was always on top of it . The interior was very pleasant and comfortable . Their menu was very small but has some very interesting dishes . Our inky complaint was that some of our dishes were very salty . Our waitress always asked us for an honest review of each dish she brought us so we gave it to her . All our dishes were very good but just too salty for our taste . They offered some very tasty and unique dishes . The staff was very friendly and helpful with ordering . It was definitely an experience and we will definitely give them a second chance with their menu. They have just opened so they are getting all the kinks out . I do recommend making reservations as it’s a small restaurant.

The Endive salad was generous in size but very salty. The beef was adequate served with a nice green sauce, but not amazing. The Dalmatian Dove cocktail was tasty. The location and atmosphere are great.

Chicken was salty and tough. Server was pushy and tried to upsell us. Reservation said there was no availability before 5 but when we arrived at 4:40 There was almost no one in the dining area. After Dinner the server told us our table had a new reservation in 15 minutes. There were plenty of other open tables at that time. Essentially we were Told to get out.
