Excellent food and service. No faults at all.. Try the Tokyo Ice Tea!!! Starters were great and the singapore rice noodles were excellent

The problem is the availability of food. We ordered Peking Duck, took them 30 min to tell us it is not available, then we ordered lobster, again took them 15 min to tell is not available, then the soft shell crab, and took 10min to tell us that due to our allergies, we cannot have it. What gives, we just had fried rice and left. And yes, we asked, what can we eat, they said just order first and we will check. This is very poor experience.

Dear Ian, We’re truly sorry for the experience you had with us and understand how frustrating it must have been, especially with the unavailability of dishes and your allergies. As a Chinese restaurant, our kitchen uses many ingredients, making it challenging to accommodate specific dietary needs. Unfortunately, your allergies weren’t listed on our allergy matrix, so our team couldn’t confirm what was safe. We didn’t want to risk serving something harmful. Food and service were excellent. We were a group of 6 and everyone had a great time. The restaurant was quiet but we were fine with that. We’ve been to HoP a few times now and it’s always been great. Can’t wait to go back.

What a great place.i was looking for a nice restaurant to take my gf for a meal.and find house of percy, food was amazing,great options and we had many small starters to share ,all of them tasty and light specially the prawn spring rolls and the dim sums , we order 2 mains to share and both delicious ,atmosphere was really nice ,ground floor was full so we eat on the first floor ,with a great view on charlotte street and xmas light .service was top class.will def be back with my work colleagues.

Food lacked flavor and proper seasoning. Staff was nice but did not seem to be properly trained. Drinks were good.

We arrived a bit early but the staff was just setting our table up and wa happy to accommodate us being early. ordered drinks which arrived promptly . Ordered food, the starters of mixed Dim sum Spring roll, Prawn toast, and dumplings arrived quite quickly all was ok no better or worse then you would get in any other Chinese restaurant . The moons arrived at all different times with the rice arriving last about 5 mins after the mains had arrived so we were half way through eating our mains and it would have been nice to have the rice arrive at the same time. The staff did apologise and the 3 floors of the restaurant were packed . To be honest the mains were just OK nothing special say compared to Tattu or Hakkasan, just average, my Beef rending was very mild and just warm when it was served and the beef was quite fatty and the portion a bit on the small side. the singapore noodles were good and hot but could have been more spicy. the other mains , Chicken Malaysian style , cant remember the other 2 wa also a bit bland . With all the choice of Chinese restaurants available in this area I probably would not bother going back, its was ok but nothing special, prices are ok
