Please be advised. Friday and Saturday's dinner service is Exclusive Omakase experience only. Omakase chef tasting menu is $175 Per Person (price does NOT include beverage and gratuity). Each section will take 120 minutes. (4:30pm to 6:30, 7:30 to 9:30)
For all parties, 100% of cost per person + tax will be charged at the time of booking. Cancellations made within 48 hours prior to the reservation date will not be refunded. Cancellations made before the 72-hour time period will be refunded 50% of total cost per person + tax.

Reduction in the number of guests in the party are subject to cancellation charge.
Please be on time to enjoy all the courses. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
Omakase means a meal consisting of dishes selected by the chef.
Chef will create some courses with seasonal, and best available ingredients.

I am running out of superlatives when describing the Omakase experience at Hikari. As far as I am concerned it is the only high-end dining place in Davis worthy of the name. On my last visit I was accompanied by a couple of friends who enjoyed it to the utmost. Although they are Japanese food lovers this was a new and marvelous experience for them. If you want to treat somebody to a great dining experience I suggest you take them to Hikari.

It was a perfect evening. Everything from the service to the space was immaculate. The food was excellent and beautiful and the chef could not have been more professional and kind and welcoming.

Booked out all 12 seats for my birthday. We did the 4:30 pm omakase meal. It was probably the best food I’ve ever had. Wonderful staff, they gave a great education on the different dishes and were kind and helpful. Some of us had dietary restrictions and they worked with that. I would go again any day of the week. Incredible food and ambience

This was my third visit to Hikari for their Omakase experience and once again spectacular. I can’t recommend this enough!

Amazing experience. Unique and delicious food with a focus on health and sustainability. Chef does a great job explaining the story behind each dish. Service is flawless. Please support this great restaurant!

If you are looking for a great dining experience in Davis, Hikari is the place to go. The chef and his team are passionate about their work. They go out of their way to get the best ingredients and pay minute attention to every detail. One thing I have not commented in the past is the team's devotion to sustainability. In the words of chef Tun "nothing goes to waste". This was my 10th Omakase dinner at Hikari and it was just as memorable as the first.

The omakase experience at Hikari is amazing. I cannot recommend it more. The food and explanations of the food are wonderful.

We chose Hikari Sushi & Omakase to celebrate a special occasion. It was very much the experience we desired. Each bite was a different adventure and many of them will be remembered for years to come. The staff was wonderful, kind, and helpful. We enjoyed watching each course come together right in front of us and learning a good deal about where our food come from and what it was. We highly recommend this unforgettable experience!
