This magical Edwardian building has been transformed to a beautiful bar, restaurant and private room where we hope to deliver to our customers an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Newcastle.
Join us to dine in our elegant brasserie which aims to serve classic dishes, including a generous Sunday lunch, using the very best ingredients with plenty of flavor but no fuss or in the bar for some light bites and fantastic drinks curated by a team of some of Newcastle best mixologists.
Above all we want you to relax, enjoy the music and feel at home here at Hibou Blanc.
Please note our bar operates on a walk-in only basis, and you can book our main restaurant to enjoy both our lunch and our a la carte menu. When joining for Afternoon Tea please state this in your booking notes.

It was the Thanks giving holiday in the US so we decided to have our dinner there. For some reason ,open table gives certain times only to show up and the place is half empty. We we all opted for the 3 course Christmas menu. We started with 1 1/2 dozen oysters which as usual were fantastic. Everything was great until we received the deserts. My ex-wife, her son and our daughter always get the chocolate brownie in any restaurant that we go. To my shock all three of them said it was not good and only ate a couple of bites . I had the blue cheese which was also very bad. I had one bite and did not eat anymore. Being a very successful chef and food consultant, I know somewhere, somehow the chef whom or ever ordered these items as they where store bought must have surely known these items were not acceptable to be served. Somebody was lazy or just did not care. Still left a great tip and gave our thanks as always.

Went for the Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint, the roast pork was first class with a huge pork chop surrounded by crackling. Served with a giant Yorkshire and veggies. Worth every penny.

Fantastic Sunday lunch again at Hibou. Service was friendly and efficient and as always the atmosphere and ambience were excellent. We were tempted by the oysters as a pre-starter and it was a great decision. They were well presented and super tasty. We had prawn cocktail, fish cakes and scotch eggs for starters and all were delicious. The mains of turkey and two pork were absolutely superb. Really good portions and the meat cooked perfectly. There were plenty of vegetables of broccoli, green beans and cauliflower. The Yorkshire puddings were fantastic and the gravy is some of the best we have had. Pigs in blankets were really nice too. With two pints, two large glasses of wine, an apple juice and the 10% service charge (fully deserved) the bill was just under £159 for three. The whole experience was fabulous and we are looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks.

Fabulous service from start yo finish .hhe staff are attentive but not intrusive and very highly trained and professional. The food is amazing everything we visit 😋

First time I’ve eaten here. Two course lunch menu, food was lovely but unfortunately we had a long wait for main courses and had to chase them up.
