A dining experience combining seasonal and farm-to-table menu items, estate grown wine and exceptional gardens and vineyard. Why not come earlier and visit our winery or extend your stay to walk the gardens and vineyards.
Hessenland Inn is now accepting online reservations through OpenTable for The Muse Restaurant and for wine tasting experiences at Schatz Winery. Both the restaurant and winery are on the Hessenland Inn property.

                                                This was the first time we ate at the Hessenland restaurant in Zurich. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were hoping for a romantic night out. The food and service was amazing! Our only complaint was to have the unfortunate existence of a 14 person party in the restaurant at the same time. There were other dining rooms available. It would have been nice if larger parties were placed away from the other diners hoping to have a quiet night out. Also, some low instrumental music may have helped with the ambience. Still, we had a great time and the food was very good, especially the desserts!

                                                Another wonderful experience at Hessenland. A true jewel in Huron County. A wonderful meal, superbly prepared and served in a beautiful setting.

                                                We did a wine tasting which was a nice experience although we didn’t care for the wines. We tried 8. Food was ok, nothing special. Definitely needs more flavour. Service was good, a little slow at times but they were busy and understaffed. There was a HUGE rain storm and everyone outside had to move inside. Thank goodness was there was space in the dining room. Over all, a good meal and experience, would return.

                                                Made a last minute decision to eat at Hessenland Inn as we were driving by on our way home from the Theatre in Grand Bend and so glad we did. The atmosphere, decore and layout of the dining room was very intriguing. The wine display area, bar and hostess greeting table, bar and dining room with a simple setting was so nice. Our server Shayanne was delightful. She gave off such a sweet vibe. She was very confident regarding her details of the daily specials, attentive with her service asking if we were satisfied with our drinks, meal and dessert. Definitely look forward to returning.

                                                Birthday celebration dinner. Appetizer and mains were delicious, well presented. Service was very friendly. Ambiance very nice with lovely views over property. Fair value.
