Opened in 1985, Hermann's European Caf� in Cadillac, MI is a three-star Mobil Guide winner and a community favorite. Taking its name from Chef Hermann, a certified Austrian pastry chef, it features the classic blackboard menu of European caf�s and offers seasonal specialties that change with the seasons. Diners at Hermann's European Caf� will want to sample the beers on tap or the house wines in addition to the selections from the menu. Choices always include soups, such as a morel cream soup, or appetizers like the baked brie or the potato pancakes. Salads also reflect European influences and include a grilled halloumi salad as well as a kale and asparagus selection. Kathy and I had a pleasant experience tonight at Herman's European Cafe in Cadillac, Michigan. Every aspect of dining out was met by the staff, the ambience, decor, food, service, price and the cultured patrons whom observed a sophisticated level of behavior in such a place. Starting with the mixed of garlic, shallots, parsley on oil for dipping the bread upon taking our place at a lovely table. Kelsie was a knowable guide with her eloquent and on mark suggestions. Able and willing to listen to my specific requests through out our dining experience. Recommended an appetizer backed by the on house chef; - Shrimp, Krab, scallops, stone grounded Dijon cream, gruyere & Parmesan which was out of this world! Kelsie knows her craft! For Entrees we had: - Jaeger Schnitzel "Hunter's Style" - Austrian Style Braunschumaus For dessert: Cream Cheese Strudel, raspberry sauce, chocolate sauce served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream -extra- Over all, this one is a Jewel of a place! Worth every dollar and a generous tip!

We loved it! Great food and wine. The baked Brie was outstanding! Loved the quiet non rushed atmosphere. It was like dining in Europe where dinner is relaxing, the courses come at the right pace and you can talk and enjoy the evening! Service was attentive and the food delicious!

Great food and service. Check out the adjoining wine bar and deli shop. I had heard about Hermann’s for years and finally decided to check it out. It was worth the trip.

My favorite spot in Cadillac. Amazing food that's rich, fresh, and made from the heart. A cozy place. In the heart of downtown, this place has made the city a great spot!

A good place to dine in Cadillac. They have an extensive and varied menu and the service was excellent.

Enjoyed our dinner. The German foodie excellent but there is so much more on the menu. It's a good place to go for beef fish or pasta as well.

Whenever we are up north to ski or golf, we make sure we eat here. The food is fabulous. The prices are reasonable. The wine list is very good. It is appropriate for a special dinner for two while also family friendly. We have never been disappointed.
