Our server, John, was fantastic. Walked us through the menu, mentioned some favorites and was fast and attentive. Food was excellent, pork chop was juicy and spicy. The appetizer sampler is a ton of food, so make sure you take friends with you.

My family’s experience at Haywire was overall bad. My mother really wanted to try this new restaurant for her birthday; so I went ahead and made a reservation. When we arrived to the restaurant everything was well, it all took a turn once we were seated. Not one waiter approached us for anything. This went on for about 35-40 minutes. There were about eight waitress/waiters behind us towards the kitchen, so my mom asked a waitress that was going towards them if they would still be able to serve us because it was getting late. The waitress went up to the group and I am assuming she asked who our server was and they all gave a look as if they both didn’t know and didn’t want to help. So of course that sweet girl was going to just serve us. Unfortunately, my family decided just to leave the restaurant after this because we were very uncomfortable. I was very shocked with this experience; we have never experienced anything like this. Additionally It changed my mother’s mood and did not make her feel special on her big day.

The food was a little bit on the salty side. We sat down at 7:45 PM and our food order came in little after 9 PM.

Tried out Haywire at La Cantera. The food was very good, and the service was exceptional. If you're looking for a place with an upscale cowboy vibe, good food, and great service, you should check it out.

Great food, atmosphere and service. I had the Barbacoa Gilled Cheese and my Girlfriend had the meatloaf. Both dishes were amazingly delicious!

Our food took more than two hours and our reservation was at 930 pm and didn’t eat till almost 11 pm
