Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

And don’t miss our Sunday Roast: dry-aged beef, beef-dripping potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bone marrow gravy—something like a Thanksgiving dinner every Sunday.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Have you heard of our Monday Wine Club? It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

Overpriced is what sticks with you. In a city with great steakhouse alternatives, hawksmoor delivers too little for too much. Appetizers are ok, steaks were tough and lukewarm, drinks were ok but not great, sides were laughably small - which would be great to know. Shared three sides among 6 and it was barely enough for three. It is just not good enough for their prices.

Roast Dinner very good. Roast potatoes were not fresh for sure. Needs to be a more crispier. Service was excellent

I should have known when I saw the salt and pepper shakers on the table. For those who know, know. The bad. Ordered 5 scallops received 3. The good. They did bring out the two and comped us for the dish. The bad. Ordered lobster Mac and they brought out regular Mac. The good. They comped us. Steak tartar was bland.. The bad. The drinks are all ice and in small glasses. The adequate. Steaks. Five people and two steaks were cooked improperly. The taste was again bland. The great the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. I’m not sure where they want to fit in. They are well below Bavetts, RPM, and Maple and Ash. They are less expensive than those restaurants. I will not return.

This is a top-notch steak house. The prices are in line with what one would expect. The wine list is exceptionally curated, although you won't find much under $150 a bottle. Don't worry; if you are unsure about making a selection, their sommelier will sort you out. I enjoy supporting companies that hold themselves to a higher standard and make a difference in their respective industries. Do your own research if you wish—people, community, emissions, and, of course, steak.

Absolutely wonderful experience, start to finish. The cocktails in particular were outstanding, and that is saying something for a London restaurant trying to compete in Chicago. Service was also outstanding throughout.

This is high end food and prices in a very casual setting. This is not white table cloth or posh, it’s a pub like atmosphere with very casual servers. That said the drinks and food were fantastic and highly recommend. Cool ambiance and setting and easy location

We aim to create the perfect balance of casual professional. you'll notice the team don't have uniforms, we encourage the team to wear their own clothes as we believe this helps create the informal and relaxed atmosphere we want in our restaurants. However the details of the service, the quality of the food and drink should be anything but casual. They should be outstanding, especially given our price point. It sounds like we nailed to food and drink aspect of your experience, but maybe not the service side of things. If i could pry a little further, were their any aspects of the service and hospitality that good have been better?

Sunday roast was just ok. The potatoes were overdone and under seasoned. Sticky toffee pudding was excellent.
