Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Have you heard of our Monday Wine Club? It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

Cocktail Hour is kind of a big deal here at Hawksmoor. From 5 till 7pm, Monday to Friday, you can grab one of our world-class cocktails for a cool $12 – and we’re doing our freshly shucked Island Creek oysters for just $2 a pop. Try Chicago’s coldest martini – we serve ours at a bracing 10°f – with spicy Scotch Bonnet Oysters or our Full Fat Old Fashioned with charcoal-roasted bone marrow oysters. The best bit? No reservations required – just swing by when it suits you. Of course, if you’d like to stay for dinner, you can book a table any time.

We went for the Sunday roast dinner, it was a lot of good comfort food, service was great. Recommend Hawksmoor.

Had a great time and great food and drinks for Sunday Roast. Ben, our server was great. It was our first time at Hawksmoor, but we’ll definitely be back.

Our server Oscar was very attentive and informative. We were there for Sunday Roast but opted for a giant rib chop with Sunday roast sides. Yorkshire Pudding and Rib Chop were divine, so was the Sticky Toffee Pudding! But the potatoes and cabbage didn’t have much flavor. We will be back again but order different side dishes.

It is a B corp (look that up) and the staff and food are great. Sunday roast is quite the treat.

Order was wrong when it came to table. Two items! Manager took tjem off our check. Glass was broken near our table and glass spread everywhere. We were asked to move while they cleaned. When we returned to table... I sat on glass and found pieces on table. I gave the staff the glass. Manager said he would buy us appetizers on our next visit. He said he would send an email. No email! Food was good, drinks were amazing! Steaks are per oz (just remember that the bone weight is counted as well).

Very enjoyable experience. The service was great and all of the dishes were delicious. We shared a bone-in ribeye, mac & cheese and mushrooms. We also had the Crudo appetizer and the lemon tart dessert. From start to finish it was a win.

Loved the cocktail list - lots of brilliant and unique options. The martinis are a speciality and served extremely cold & crisp. Don’t miss the sticky toffee pudding!
