The festive season at Hawksmoor is all about going big. Sharing steaks. Magnums. All the sides. We know some of you like to make a little space for healthier choices in the new year. So, we’re easing you into 2025 with a lunch option that’s good for the body, mind, and bank balance. For January only, enjoy a lean Rump steak and a virtuous side – English lettuce salad, Spinach, Sweet potatoes or (no judgement) indulge with our Beef dripping chips or Caesar salad – for £19.50.

The steaks were amazing. In fact all the food was excellent. My daughter thought her steak was the best she had ever tasted! Oh - and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. The only downside is that it was really rather expensive.

Attended with family for son’s birthday All staff were superb, from entering to leaving. Food was superb, all steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection My son received a birthday desert which was thoughtful Would certainly recommend and will definitely return Thank you so much

Lunch after borough market. Both went for the roast dinner (beef) with a side of cauliflower cheese. Beef very nice and tender. Enormous yorkshires. Big room, nice ambience, good service. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Prime rib was excessively fatty and rare instead of medium rare, carrots had been boiled to death and our burger had some packaging left in it.

We booked for our daughter’s 21st Birthday family meal. The only time available was 9pm. I would expect that at the price point you should have most items available from the menu despite the time. Unfortunately all lobster had run out - which is what my daughter wanted with her steak. There was no Fillet Steak left. There were only large cuts left, so we ended up with sharing steaks. Which meant compromises were made in the cooking of the steak. The food was delicious but having full choices would have been better. Our waitress was really good overall, however was interrupted to be spoken to at length, whilst taking our order and left mid sentence - they did excuse themselves, but we did not think this was entirely necessary and the rudeness upset my husband. Drinks were good and the ambience to start was great, although by the end it was as if everything was winding down. Whilst we had a lovely meal, we just would have expected the same options as those dining earlier in the evening and if this is not likely then a warning should be given when making the reservation. Sadly, we expected more from this restaurant.
