Steak was perfect. Can't fault a single thing from service to the food. Slightly noisier than I would like but can't complain as it's obviously a popular place.

10/10 all around! Sylvester took amazing care of me and the whole crew were so lovely and welcoming! I don’t make it to London very often, but this restaurant will have a permanent spot on my list of must go’s!

Not cheap but the meal I had was my idea of perfection. I was a lone diner and the service was perfect; casual, friendly, attentive but unobtrusive, and I could sit back, enjoy my food and soak up the bustling atmosphere, I had three oysters and their fantastic negroni to start, then the 450g rib-eye, cooked to a juicy medium. There was very little connective tissue or excess fat on the meat, it was crozzled, tender, full of beefy flavour, and although not entirely necessary the bone marrow gravy added an extra layer of deliciousness. Accompanied only by some fresh-tasting lemon and garlic spinach to balance the richness of the steak and gravy. A glass of red to go alongside and really, I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable meal.

The food order that was brought to the table was incorrect so we had to send back and the waiter was extremely rude.

Food was average. Took half an hour or so to be served food, though we were warned. Quite expensive for chicken,(£25! No accompaniments) burger looked like a big Mac… lettuce and herb salad was just lettuce and dressing. Didn’t want to complain as I had booked and I was with friends from New York. Waitress seemed miserable and didn’t really understand my American guests. Shame as I really have enjoyed Hawksmoor historically, both here and at different venues.

As always the food was exquisite. The roast once again was exceptional- possibly my all time favourite roast dinner, it came cooked to perfection and the perfect temperature. The fillet had by one of our party was also superb. All of this alongside faultless service from all staff, but especially Piptr Z, made our experience all the more memorable. A big thank you all round.
