Step into the world of Arthur Hardy, a determined and visionary young Englishman who appreciated the finer things in life. Begin your culinary journey at his summer residence built in 1852, where you can relax in the heritage building before indulging in one of the most delicious meals of your life.

We have three unique dining experiences to enjoy:
- Our Signature fine dining experience - savour a delectable degustation experience that changes with the seasons, following the "Valley to Verandah" concept. You will also have the opportunity to choose from a multi-award-winning wine selection and creative cocktail menu. Available for dinner 7 days a week
- High Tea Experience - elegant and unique offering that will undoubtedly tantalise your taste buds. Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Food and ambience rated as Outstanding...because it was. Down rated Value to Poor and Overall Experience to Fair because Service was Poor. Service rated as poor due to a complete and total lack of service throughout the High Tea. To explain, we had to chase staff to ask for Tea after our glass of Champagne. We had to top up our own water glasses as no service was available. Nobody asked us if there was anything else we would like. We had to chase service so that we could pay our bill. First world problems I accept...however, from the Mt Lofty House website for High Tea at HVR it states: "From the meticulously arranged table settings to the attentive service, every detail enhances the experience." Attentive Service...I think not.

Excellent high tea at Hardy's Verandah restaurant! Great food with wonderful views in a beautiful room of the estate. We will definitely be back.

The food options were decadent, and the extensive tea menu offered something for every taste. The ambience was absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful gardens and a stunning view that created the perfect atmosphere. The customer service was also flawless, making the entire experience even more memorable.
