Our owner, Chef Richard Hales, a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away. Mastering Chinese cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Best I’ve had in a long time. The owners are very vested. Chef walked around and said hello. The wife was personable and sang happy anniversary. 10 out of 10 in all categories

We are frequent diners at Hales Blackbrick and have never been disappointed. Everyone is friendly and helpful, service is outstanding and the food is excellent. Don't forget the amazing cocktails too!

Great time at this new location. Food is always amazing. Dakota was our server and killed it (in a good way) Chef Hales came and greeted our table. Will be back.

It was a really wonderful experience. Alot of attention to detail from lighting to the tableware giving a very alluring and elegant atmosphere. The service was spot on and very attentive. The food IS family style but the portion size is more than adequate for everyone to enjoy and the price is fair. The food itself is cooked perfectly the dishes were flavorful , filled with spice, aromatic and bright in presentation. My only negative comment is that each dish is very unique in flavor but also spicy and mixing between them can sometimes loose the base of flavor and makes the focus soley on the spice

Food was delicious, but the amount of food for the cost seemed like a mismatch. Also the location does not seem to justify the menu price. The inside is nice, but the outside looks like Howard and Platt, which is decidedly not a Water Street level pricing experience.

First time. Nice quiet vibe, great decor. The Florida gator was our favorite. We also ordered spicy margaritas, expresso martini, salt and pepper squid, and the black brick tower dumplings. The chicken dumplings were the best of the 3 options, and the squid went very well with the sauce that’s the gator came with. Jeremy and Justin were awesome. Thank you for the experience.

Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Love the decor too. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be not to charge patrons $6 for valet when you have no other option of parking being on a busy road
