Halcyon is a fine seafood brasserie, specializing in the freshest local catches, boasting a full service raw bar, upstairs lounge, and tranquil atmosphere. At this time we are offering indoor dining and take-out Tuesday-Sunday. In order to ensure proper sanitation between reservations, we have a strict time limit per table. We said hello, the hostess stood with her back to us for a minute before turning around and saying just a few minutes, and walked away. She eventually returned and brought us upstairs. We asked to be moved downstairs, she said no, “I guess if you want to wait,” - whatever, we will still have a nice meal. Someone drops water at our table and promptly runs away to help a larger party. 20 minutes go by, we try (and fail) to flag someone down, no luck. There is no sign of anyone, and it’s time to say something because we are starving. However, another 5 minutes go by and no one is even available to flag down as no one had come upstairs, and it’s not worth it anymore. We looked for someone to let know we were leaving, but again, there was no one to let know because no one approached the table. Overall a waste of 35 minutes of my day and disappointed because I really wanted to try this place. Maybe would try again on a week night.

I met today at Halcyon for brunch with a friend. The service was fairly attentive. It is a physically appealing venue with a very nice brunch menu. We both ordered the day's special omelette with smoked salmon. The dish was beautifully prepared, though the salmon was overly salty. The guavallini cocktail was delicious. The coffee was, unfortunately, not hot. Overall, it was a pleasant brunch experience and I would come back again.

Incredible. Tuesday is Jazz Night, the ambience was totally amazing. The service and food were outstanding.

First visit. Nondescript facade hides a really pretty space inside. Nice looking bar area. The dining room is decorated with large photos by a local artist. Server was friendly and gave good recommendations. Food from beet salads, fish and scallops was excellent. Plan to visit again, especially for live Jazz.

Food was delicious and service was excellent. We went on New Year’s Eve and you would expect some disruption but nothing like that happened. All was A1. One small inconvenience with the table resolved immediately. We are planning to go again to try some of the other entrees they have.

Didn’t live up to the hype. Cocktail was served in a chipped goblet. Appetizers were unimpressive. The calamari wasn’t crispy and the beet salad was bland. The scallops were ok, a little overdone. The crème brûlée was average. Overall, disappointing for the price. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Could be the NYE crowd overwhelmed them.

Very challenging reading the menu even with glasses on and the candle right on top of the menu. Crispy calamari was more breading than calamari. Grilled octopus is not tentacles, rather, diced small pieces of octopus with excessive dollops of sauce. Tuna was fabulous last. Crab cake very tasty. Overall disappointing b/c we love grilled octopus & huge fan of calamari.

Cozy environment with mature and bright ambiance on a warm and inviting street. Service is very good and the restaurant could benefit from offering bread and butter for the table.
