Head chef Kevin Bürmann creates two changing menus: Flora (vegetarian) and Fauna (with meat and fish). Both menus are characterized by seasonal products, innovative combinations and artistic presentation.

A small cozy restaurant with great service. We both had the flora (vegetarian) menu with accompanying wine, and were both very pleased with all. Great combinations, surprizing, taste explosions in the mouth. Great job for such a young team! Very tasty natural wines and well combined with the dishes. Will definately go back. Price quality in good balance.

A fantastic evening! My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic 8 course meal over 3.5 hours at Haebel. The small restaurant setting with open kitchen and super calm atmosphere in the kitchen was smart and classy as well as being very fun and welcoming. Food was perfectly timed and we never felt like we were waiting. Every time we almost felt hungry, the next course arrived as if our minds had been read. Service was also an excellent mix of being friendly and non-intrusive. Having chefs present the dishes was a great touch and everyone did a great job of showing their knowledge and passion of the food. Especially in dealing with our many curious questions in English. The highlights of the meal were a cheese taco and mushroom purée snack, rabbit liver with blueberries and buckwheat, an ice-cream sandwich of lemon parfait, meringue and verbena peppercorn. Some really interesting flavours that were expertly balanced and well thought out! Many thanks to all the Haebel team :-)

Haebel is a small and lovely foody place to eat in Hamburg. The staff is very attentive and cheerful, and the food is amazing. The flavors are, at times, delicate and they mix in some interesting textures as well. They start the evening with a list of ingredients so you can decide if there is anything on the list that you don't eat - and they will make you something else! It is a menu, so everyone gets the same thing. The wine pairing was fabulous as well. Definitely worth the trip!
