Gusto (pronounced Goo-sto) means tasty in Italian. Located in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood, Gusto 501 brings together the innovation of sister restaurant Gusto 101 and the soulful hospitality of Janet Zuccarini’s first restaurant, Trattoria Nervosa. Since opening our doors in 2020, Gusto 501 has been serving fresh takes on Italian fare in Toronto’s east end. Designed by award-winning architecture firm PARTISANS, Gusto 501’s space is punctuated by glowing terracotta walls and an oversized “garage door” façade that opens up to reveal a multi-level dining theatre.

Every level of Gusto 501 unfolds into a unique experience. Whatever you're craving, there's always a seat at the table for you - our famiglia.

Truly enjoyed the meal. Our server was pleasant and very helpful with explaining menu items and ensuring our food and drinks arrived in a timely manner. The lighting in the restaurant could be improved though - had a tough time reading the menu. Food was delicious and I would certainly return for lunch or dinner in the future.

We love Gusto but our server must have been off their game. Very slow to check on our table - our water glasses sat empty until we asked, and didn’t check if we wanted to order another round of drinks until our food was almost gone. We ended up leaving instead of staying for another round.

Food is always good, amazing food!! The server was horrible , my glass broke and the head chef had to come bring napkins. The server didn’t even come to help. On top of that didn’t even offer to bring another drink. Horrible waitress.

Food was good; ambiance is exquisite setting for engaging in a conversation over dinner. Thanks to our server for making a memorable evening for me and my girlfriends.

Terrible service on my birthday - Dec 27th by Alejandra, the fact that we had to wait atleast 40 minutes for food and we had to pay automatic 20% tip for crappy service. I was here on October and it was such an amazing and fast service. The food was overcooked and was lacking sauce - I got the most popular pasta mafalde ai funghi and I always order this pasta and it’s always tasted good. I was truly disappointed by the service and the taste of food.

The mushroom pasta was absolutely amazing and so was our waitress! Definitely a must try! :)
