As Charleston's premier steakhouse, and member of the Great Steak Houses of North America, our menu is one of the few in the country that features 100% USDA Prime Beef. Located at the luxurious Market Pavilion Hotel in the heart of historic Charleston, we offer a dining experience like no other. All of our beef selections, including the filet mignon, are hand-selected and wet-aged 42 -50 days to ensure tender texture and unsurpassed flavor.

At Grill 225 we place a great deal of emphasis on seafood harvested from both local and International waters. Using only premium ingredients such as local sustainable seafood as well as exclusive premium domestic and international offerings.

Private gatherings for rooftop cocktail receptions and events up to 275 guests.

Dress Code:

Grill 225 will be featuring a 4 course Pre Fixe menu and champagne toast for $150 per person. Grill 225 is offering a range of seating times beginning at 1:45pm and the second seating will be begin at 5pm. All reservations will have a 96 hour cancellation policy and must be secured with a credit card through our online confirmation process directly with Grill 225. Upon completion of booking through OpenTable, you will receive an additional email requiring you to confirm your Thanksgiving day dining reservation directly with Grill 225 https://www.marketpavilion.com/grill225.cfm. All reservations must be confirmed within 6 hours of booking to avoid automatic cancellation.

Jimmy our waiter made a bold boast, that his is the best restaurant in Charlestown! He may be right, its certainly one of the best we have visited. The service and food were outstanding, and the restaurant was comfortable. The only annoyance is that after I reserved, they emailed, texted and then called like every day to make sure we were coming, this after taking a credit card and threatening to charge me if we didn't show up. I'm pretty busy and I could have used without that bit of aggravation leading up to the visit.

This was our first time dining at Grill 225 and with the exception of the banana bread pudding desert, which was outstanding, we were disappointed in our entrees. The filet was not cooked to the ordered temperature and was somewhat tough. The veal was mediocre.

Horrible experience. We arrived at 8:30 for our reservation. We were seated promptly and enjoyed the bread that was brought to us. The ambience was nice although a little noisy. After that, it was downhill. Our server, Ann, was horrible. We sat for about 30 minutes before she took our order. She brought out a starter and then we didn’t see her for another 20 minutes. My husband was timing every time she came by the table. We had to ask other waiters for water and the manager to check on our food. It took an hour from the time we placed the order to get our food. I asked what was taking so long and Ann snapped at me, the kitchen is backed up. No apologies, nothing about, so sorry this is happening. Or I’ll go check to see what the issue is. She popped her head around the booth but didn’t speak a word to us. We saw other tables getting amazing service but unfortunately we were not so lucky. Right before the food came out, she told us they were out of baked potatoes. That probably should have been mentioned a little before that. My husbands steak, which he ordered well done came out medium rare. Ann could’ve salvaged the night even thought the kitchen was backed up (at 10 pm?!?!) but she was snippy and rude instead. Don’t waste your money. Go to Peninsula Grill instead.
