Unfortunately I am unable to review based on service received. I booked a reservation for Christmas Eve for myself and my family. We walked to the restaurant to find it closed with a sign saying they closed at 3pm. Disappointed they took the reservation when they were closed and did not notify me. Our Christmas Eve dinner was ruined and we were left to walk around down town Toronto in -10 Celsius searching for a place to have our family dinner.

It was not a good experience, the restaurant was not very busy. We were seated quickly, but service was slow. About 20 minutes to order drinks. And about 80 minutes for appetizers to arrive, then main courses arrived 2 minutes later and were cold so they must have been prepared before the appetizers. Waitress was nice but was rarely seen. We didn’t complain or say anything, they offered 20% discount because they recognized how slow it was. Or maybe they heard out 10 year old daughter say how hungry she was. Atmosphere was nice, but food and service were horrible. I would not return again. We even waited 20 minutes after asking for the bill, which never arrived. I had to go and ask for it and took care of it on the spot for fear of waiting another 20 minutes to settle the bill. Maybe it was a bad night for them. But we would never return or recommend it.

We had great drinks, my Caesar came with an amazing charcuterie stick! We had the schnitzel which was a little over cooked but tasty anyway. Service was ok but could have been more attentive, but they were very nice when they did visit.

A great place to grab some food and sample beers before a concert or even a game! Big place with inside/outside dining options. Will definitely return and tell others about it.

Had a reservation for 10, but ended up being unknowingly bumped for a private party. The worst part was that no one from the restaurant contacted me to advise of the change (in spite of me having to electronically confirm my reservation). My reservation was moved to the Bier Mrkt but upon arrival the front of house were unaware of the reservation. The team handled it graciously and we were accommodated by the Bier Mrkt team. Disappointed by Goose Island. Especially since no one reached out before or after.

The service was excellent. Very polite and friendly staff. I had the chicken schnitzel and it was a bit tough and dry and my friend had the brisket sandwich and it was tasty but the meat was a bit too fatty for her. With so many other options in the area, I’m not sure if I’ll come back.

First time eating at this restaurant. First impression was disappointed. It has the brewery vibe with the tanks etc. in plan sight which is fine if you want to stop for a beer. The beer was good and some good choices so no issues there. We sat at a standard table for 4 which was in the corner of an empty restaurant. Only a couple standard tables. The food was fair. My wife enjoyed her pork Schnitzel but I and my friend had the beef brisket which wasn't great but the fries were very good. Overall I would say fine for a beer and maybe burger and fries with friends.
