Lovey atmospheric pub with nice friendly helpful staff. The soup was not quite as hot as one of us wanted but it was soon rectified and in fact was delicious. Will be returning again soon.

This is the 4th time we have eaten here but the first time on a Sunday for lunch, definitely not disappointed. As always the food was excellent as was the service. It was very busy when we arrived but drinks order taken as soon as we sat down and services was prompt as always. Definitely recommend the food and service here any day of the week even on a busy Sunday.

As always team very friendly helpful and pleasant, lovely atmosphere food always lovely, service is quick but not rushed, staff attentive, a very much go to after a long week or a relaxed evening meal never disappoints

A very friendly weicome shown straightto our table ,drinks order taken and food order in a reasonable time service was lovely and friendly The food was delicious my sister had the curry and said it was really tasty and great portion size i had the fish cake it was delicious and the salad and dressing was really tasty a great experience alroud

We had a great visit to the Golden Cock early on Saturday evening. The staff are always very friendly, welcoming and attentive from the minute you arrive. A great menu choice, including vegan and vegetarian options too. The food was delicious (as always) and the pace of service was just right for our group of four friends. The restaurant became busier as the evening progressed but you never struggle to hear the conversation at the table.

Great food as always but I think they should advertised am that they stop serving Sunday Roast at 18.00, we’d have booked earlier if we’d known that. Had a pie instead
