   Service was good but food was absolutely terrible. If you looking for true Italian expierince than avoid this place. If this place would be ever visited by its public face Gino, he would shut it down straight away. Bruschetta was oily with so called san marzano tomatoes and waaaay to much pepper in it. Margharita pizza- dough was good, can’t complain but tomato sauce was shocking. It supposed to be san marzano tomatoes for a reason- flavour, which was killed in this pizza by seasoning. Strangely again too much pepper and oregano which killed flavour of tomato.. Do not recommend and won’t be back. There are so many smaller restaurant which serves sooo much better food for half of the price.

   I took my 89 and 85 year old parents for a meal and unfortunately the music level made it very hard for them to hear! It involved a lot of shouting across the table! Leo however was a perfect and very attentive waiter. He looked after us well. I didn’t mention the music as I didn’t want to ruin the ambience for others.

   Second time here and the food is just amazing. Our first waitress let the experience down. I didn’t realise the kids pasta came with meat in it and my son doesn’t eat meat. She was very unsympathetic and dismissive. Just stating it says it on the menu which is guaniciale . Needless to say we picked out all the pieces of meat. Rest of service was really good as half way through a different waiter served us and he was really attentive. Food was lovely and the views are nice.

   Lovely setting for what was a delicious meal with my husband. The service was terrific and the staff were very warm and inviting making it a brilliant start to our night. The one downside was where we were seated, near the back door which when opened created quite a draught. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

   Went for evening meal with my husband and our son, it was to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and our sons 13th birthday which I put in the booking another table was sung happy birthday but my son was not. On a number of times staff walked past not once asking how our meal was or if they could get us anything our food arrived before our drinks and as we were leaving not one member of staff acknowledged us the service is disgusting, worst we've been to in Newcastle won't be coming back.

   Second time here but it’s been 2 years since our last visit. Enjoyed it then but this time poor service, very slow, starter was barely warm (not great when it’s rice!) and overall food quality poor. Noise level horrendous between loud music and tons of screaming kids you could barely talk to each other. This was our wedding anniversary and Gino’s is far from cheap. We won’t be back

   I have been to Ginos many times and absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere and amazing food however I came with my partner last night and we had been seated at a table right next to the bar area. Unfortunately there was a group of very rowdy people who were clearly drunk sat right to us which completely ruined the atmosphere. It’s not what you want when you’re trying to enjoy a nice meal! Me and partner couldn’t hear each other talking, and one of the girls in the group kept walking past our table and crouching down to plug her phone in to plug sockets that were right next to us. I appreciate that some of this is out of the restaurants control however I don’t think having restaurant tables that close to the bar area is ideal particularly if they are aware of busy times for people drinking in the bar area. I was also disappointed with the service at the end of evening as no one came to ask at any point if we wanted our bill so eventually we went to the main desk to ask. As I say I’ve been to Ginos many times and highly rated it so it felt really disappointed with our experience last night.

    Great food and a really chilled vibe. We sat outside on the quayside in the sun was lovely. Staff really friendly and attentive.
