Gertrude's Restaurant está dentro del Museo de Arte de Baltimore (BMA) y es un lugar elegante y acogedor donde John Shields ofrece platillos típicos de Chesapeake elaborados con productos locales. Grabbed a quick dinner before a Candlelight Concert at the BMA-our server paved our meal so well that we were surprised how relaxing it was to get dinner and dessert within 45 mins. Must have dishes are the half&half crab soup, zuchettes, Chesapeake rockfish imperial, and Asian salmon plus Gertrude’s Candy Bar for dessert. Thank you Gertrude’s! Btw the owner John was greeting guests. #baltimorelegend

Service was very nice and Katia was very professional. We both ordered Gerties crab cake. It is listed as lump crab and broiled on the menu. It was neither. Appeared to have been cooked on a flat top-very browned all over and flat. Fried? The crab was backfin at best. Not lump. A lot of filling. The flavor was ok. Just not what I was expecting. They have 2 crab cakes on the menu and one is listed as fried…the manager assured us we received the correct one, which was supposed to be broiled. It was really disappointing. The best part of my meal was the slaw. We were offered to change our entree but we both declined. Not great but not inedible.

Was warm welcoming and friendly. Even acknowledged my daughter’s semi graduation. We didn’t even mention it. Very enjoyable time. Food and service top notch. Thank you for making our special day even better.

The service was impeccable, and the food delicious. All in a cozy, elegant atmosphere. Love it here! Kudos to John Shields.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Took an out-of-town friend who was in search of a great crab cake here because the menu included vegetarian and vegan options for me and my partner. Food was great and the service was outstanding - Grace was phenomenal! We had a wonderful meal and my friend especially enjoyed her White Russian from the bar :)

We always enjoy the statue garden and the adjacent BMA. It makes for a great start to a Saturday. Oh yeah, and the cocktails were delicious.

Good service. Good setting. We were at Gertrude’s for a benefit to Hopewell Cancer Support, a non-profit organization that provides free support services to patients, family, and friends of cancer patients. Great venue for our event. Thank you!
