We visited yesterday and had the winter set meal. The whole experience was one of the worst I have had when eating out. At the time of booking, I requested halal, but at the restaurant I was told to order from the a la carte menu as halal wasn't available. The server messed up our drinks order and our starters. Despite clarifying that my boyfriend only ate halal, they brought him non-halal. The girl who brought our food literally threw it down on the table, and I don't recall her being polite or professional. I spoke to the manager who quickly rectified the situation, and offered us complimentary meat, sides and drinks. The restaurant was very quiet - only three or four other diners, and no-one came to check how we were doing. There were staff just hanging around so there was no excuse. The server also only acknowledged my boyfriend when he did come and check in. The food was mediocre, the service was bad and your only saving grace was your manager who listened and acknowledged that there was a problem.

We had the new Winter lunch menu. The prawns and beef tacos were absolutely delicious. We ordered medium steaks and they were cooked to perfection. The knife cut through the steak like butter. Will visit again!

Came to Gaucho for NYE dinner. The food was great, we had steaks. The service was great and attentive. The only downside was the loud background music which made everyone speak loudly and therefore creating a bit too much noise for my liking. It the music was gentler and just played at the background the experience would have been perfect.

Great food and great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My only moan is that we were rushed through our dinner despite booking well in advance. We wanted to enjoy our meal and atmosphere and that is ruined when, the only concern is how many people can you seat in one night!. That to me shows the restaurant isn't about the dining experience, which is a shame as it was highly recommended.

Our server Thomas was amazing, shame I had to sit where people and waiter/waitresses walk past as my chair kept being knocked which was annoying, when our food was bought over it was pretty much thrown down at us and we was given each others dinners so had to swap about, my mum asked for burger with no cheese and it came with cheese. Once everything had been sorted everything else was fine
