Gather55 is a unique restaurant that supports the mission work of Hands On Hartford. Each month a different Guest Chef offers a special menu for our guests. Where else can you sample offerings from award-winning chefs all in one meal? Gather55 is in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford and there is plenty of free parking adjacent to the restaurant.

I’m thinking that this place might just be my next party site! The food is outstanding! Our server, Andrea, is top notch. The ambiance perfect for me. Plus…there are two party rooms. Yep, sounds like a plan. Plus, it supports a worthwhile mission. It’s a win/win👍

Gather 55 is a unique and wonderful restaurant in so many ways. Set in a refurbished industrial brick building, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated promptly. The food was so flavorful and unique starting with wonderful bread and a lightly sweetened herbed butter. They have a varied wine, beer and cocktail menu and I was even created a mock tail out of fresh fruit, puree by my waiter. For an appetizer we had yucca fritters with an amazing green aioli type sauce. For dinner I enjoyed citrus shrimp with succotash and bean dish, so perfectly cooked and fresh. My husband devoured their meatloaf, sorry mom but it was steps above the norm! We were too full for dessert but had tea and brought our son their passion fruit cheesecake which he reported to be amazing. I think the best part of all this is the mission of this restaurant. Amazing food created and served by staff who are paid a living wage with benefits (no tips here). And all profits support their real purpose to serve the community. They fund social services like a food pantry, breakfast and lunch meals open to all who pay or volunteer 30 minutes, and many other supports for Hartford in the Parkville area. I will be back any time I’m in Hartford for sure!

I’ve eaten at Gather55 before and this time was as good as the last. The food is consistently excellent as well as the service. Our server Andrea made our night with her wonderful personality and knowledge about the food and mission. If you haven’t been to Gather55 I suggest you give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

We were warmly greeted by Ryan, our server, who introduced us to the newest staff member, Lorenzo. Both were so friendly. The food was delicious. We ordered the stuffed eggplant and pasta bolognese and the spice apple cake for dessert was so flavorful and beyond our expectations…so tasty! Thank you for making it a special night out with long time friends who were new to Gather55. We had a lovely evening and look forward to coming back!

Delicious gormet American food in a relaxed atmoshere. One of the best paltes of short rib I have ever had. Apple cinnamon cake 10 out of 10 dessert.

We loved Gather55! The food was outstanding. We had the prix fixe and each course was delicious. Our server Andrea was passionate about the mission, helpful with the menu choices, and just enjoyable. From food to service Gather55 is 5 stars.

Another outstanding meal at Gather 55. Some of the guest chefs are more talented than others but everything is very good and some dishes are truly outstanding. Service is so warm and friendly that you leave feeling like you've made a friend.
