   Muy buen sitio, comida italiana bien procesada. El Ambiente relajado y amigable. Me tocaron las decoraciones de halloween, excelentes.

   The staff always takes care of us! Eladia, Marco, the other managers, hostesses, kitchen, wait staff and busers are always great! It is our go to for Italian!! Love this place!!

   Cute and quaint restaurant, enjoyed lasagna, pizza bites, a nightly special. All delicious! Got a bit noisier as night went on, but we could still chat.

   Debbie, the host is a real downer. I cannot understand how the owners allow someone that is clearly unhappy and certainly unfriendly to represent them. Sincerely disappointing. It does not matter if you get served with the best food ever, she ruins it from the get go.

   In August 2024 we dined here and were so looking forward to returning. The hostess recognized our note about our server and guest's birthday. Nice job. Moira, our server was attentive as before but seemed distracted. She did have a large table nearby. Her table assistants were efficient but not at all friendly...no speaking...just drop/pick up and go. We ordered the Tagliere Misto, a charcuterie the menu indicates is for two but it can easily serve 4. Great meats, cheeses, grapes and olives. But the tomatoes were soggy. The pizza was soggy and lacked flavor (a common complaint in other reviews). The pappardelle carbonara with shrimp was just OK. The shrimp had no flavor. Perhaps it's that we're comparing it to similar dishes from our recent travels to Italy. Also, no recognition at the table regarding our guest's birthday. Overall it was OK.

   Garage Buona Forchetta in Coronado serves up some of the best Italian food in San Diego. The dishes are consistently fantastic, from their perfectly charred Neapolitan pizzas to their rich, flavorful pastas. If you’re looking for top-notch Italian cuisine, this spot delivers every time. However, the service is another story. While some staff members work incredibly hard—especially those in support roles like bussers and runners—certain waiters are indifferent, making the experience hit or miss. The hostess, in particular, comes off as dismissive rather than welcoming, as if simply being seated should be a privilege. What this place lacks is “care.” The food speaks for itself, but hospitality is just as important. With a little investment in customer service training, Garage Buona Forchetta could be unbeatable. But with Nado Republic just across the street offering great food and warm service, they may soon find themselves losing local diners like us.
