                                    Our server seemed unhappy with us and was not very kind or didn’t care about us. They brought out one person from our tables food way before the rest of us (the other 4 of us) so he was half done before the rest of us got our food. The food was delicious keep in mind but the service was upsetting. It was also my birthday and we asked for a birthday dessert and she just brought it to us like nothing and didn’t ask anyone else if they wanted dessert. Also didn’t ask us how the mains were. THEN the same server for the table beside us she brings them out a birthday dessert WITH A CANDLE AND SAYS HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALL SMILEY. I’m not sure if our table did something but that service was just so upsetting especially on a birthday and seeing another birthday table right beside us be treated so differently.

                                    I hate to say it, because I’ve liked Gahan for a long time, but over time the quality of the food has declined, as has the portion size. I had the short rib grilled cheese with roast potatoes, and both were overdone (a little crispy is expected - this was more than that) and bland. My friend had the steak sandwich and said the taste was ok, but he was still hungry afterward. The choice of seasonal beers is also very odd - it’s the dead of winter and 3 of 4 are light, fruity patio beers. The 4th, the beer beer, was good but certainly wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste. On a positive note, our server was very friendly and efficient. This contrasts with last week, when I popped in to get a growler and it took almost 10 minutes (no, it wasn’t busy).

                                    I ordered the brown bag chicken and fries and thankfully the fries were tasty but the chicken was lacking in amount, size and flavour. The price per portion was extremely unreasonable. This was my second attempt after my first visit was unappealing to the taste buds and I was again disappointed.

                                    We love Gahan house and go there a lot. Still good experience this time but one of the orders was wrong but that was corrected quickly and the recipe for the seafood chowder that I often get was different, not as creamy new. Also felt rushed after 1 hour, asking if we wanted bill when the 14 year old birthday girl didn’t get her free birthday brownie yet, and we still had 3/4 of our beer left. Also our server kept changing during meal which is probably why they forgot about the brownie.

                                    Short staffed and it showed. No hostess. Upstairs loft area unable to contact staff for drink and food orders in a timely fashion. Very slow for drinks and meals to arrive. Food was delicious and server was friendly.

                                    Restaurant very comfortable and so quiet our bunch could talk easily. Food was great. Recommend lunch on a Tuesday with friends.

                                    Our reservation, made a week in advance, was not honored - despite using the app to confirm if be there and being on time. We had to wait 30 min before finding a spot at the bar, and still had to ask to get a table when we saw one open up. No compensation was offered to help with the souring experience. I could not recommend this and will not return on future trips to Fredericton.
