A NEW TAKE ON TRADITIONAL DUMPLINGS

Nestled in the heart of Chinatown in San Francisco, Fusion Dumpling is a Shanghai Dumpling House with a menu fusing Szechuan, Shanghai, and Northern delicacies.

Our take on a traditional dumpling combines Chongqing-Szechuan Bun style Xiao Long Bao, Shanghai soup dumpling pan-fried buns, and Northern-style dumplings to create a “Flavored in one” dumpling unlike any other.

Chef Du and his team, known best for savory soup dumplings, presents a menu for both the adventure seeker and traditional Chinese food lover alike. From mini hot pots, noodles and rice, and private home cuisines, to classic dishes and of course dumplings – the new menu is exploding with flavor.

Each dish is made to order.
Seating is limited. Peak times can lead to wait times.

This was our first time at Fusion Dumpling. It did not disappoint. Food was delicious. We ordered crab noodles, eggplant, and a array of dumplings and potstickers. The waygu & truffle dumpling my wife’s favorite dumpling. I loved the eggplant dish served hot pot style and the walnut shrimp and experience onto itself. Both delicious. Two last comments. Serving dishes are elegant and add to this great dining experience. And their noodle dish is a must. We look forward to another dinner and will bring friends.

Our party of 6 was seated as soon as we arrived. The food was a delicious assortment of Bao (buns) dumplings, and main dishes. The service was attentive and delightful. The location is clean and nicely decorated. We simply loved it!! A definite “go to” for authentic Chinese cuisine.

Food was delicious. Excellent service and attentiveness. They have one large table at the restaurant and we were lucky to get it (party of 14) to celebrate our son's birthday lunch. The kids enjoyed the food, the Lazy Susan, and the ambience. It was perfect for our group and celebration. Will definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our meal. Big selection of food and presented very well. The food comes fast! Nice atmosphere with both small tales and large tables. It felt very comfortable.

Great dim sum, wonderful ambiance. Delicious Chinese food. I recommend the soup dumplings, tea roasted duck, and sautéed string beans.

A very good menu with variation without being overwhelming. The food and service was excellent. A bright restaurant which was not too loud inside despite being very busy.

What a find in Chinatown! We went on Christmas Day and the whole neighborhood was hopping. It was great to see a lot of the restaurants and bars were busy that night. This restaurant is right across the street from the busier (and over-rated Z&Y) but this restaurant is better, in my opinion. We were a few minutes early and checked in with the host. We got sat on time. Friendlier and very accommodating waitstaff. So many items on the menu to choose from. I thought we ordered a lot but we looked over at other tables and thought to ourselves that we need to go back and try the other dishes. Definitely going back to Fusion Dumpling sooner than later.
