The Friars' Table is steeped in the Franciscan tradition of care and community.

Located in Cleveland's Playhouse Square James Beard Finalist Brandon Chrostowski brings a cuisine focusing on Monastic ingredients and techniques in a chic, curated setting. The Friars' Table features dishes including hearty soups and stews, seasonal salads, Salmon St. Celestine and braised lamb shoulder along with wine and cocktails highlighting simplicity and tradition.

The Friars' Table was uniquely founded by Brother Phillip Bernier of The Capuchin Ministries of Cleveland in partnership with Brandon Chrostowski of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute. The mission focus on serving those in our community working to improve life through cuisine and education.

Borscht soup was excellent!! Bread appetizer was very different and delicious. And not too many bars have viieux carre,! Excellent service

We really enjoyed our dining experience at The Friar’s Table! Service was top notch and our food was delicious. The pork and the chicken were so tender and flavorful. We’ll be back!

This was our first visit to Friars Table and we were very pleased overall. We were a party of four and three out of four loved our meals and the fourth liked hers but just ordered appetizers and the portions were pretty small. She will know better next time. And one of the best things about our experience was that the noise level was quite moderate and we could actually talk to each other as we had dinner, a rarity these days for sure. Best of luck to Brandon for this new adventure.

We had a lovely dinner on a busy Sunday. Despite rush we were not rushed and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. This is definitely a great addition to Playhouse Square!

The service was slow and didn't seem to be well coordinated. Walking in, it was unclear where the hostess stand was and so we stood there. Once at the table, it took longer than expected to have the waiter engage with us. The food was very good. The food was brought very quickly, almost too quickly. Then at the end of the dinner, we sat there longer than expected waiting for our bill.

We were here a month ago and had to come back again because our first experience was so good. Once again, the food was outstanding, the service top notch and the pricing very reasonable. This is a fantastic addition to Playhouse Square and we’ll make it a regular stop when coming to see the shows.

Nice selection of unique dishes , great service , food came out quickly . We enjoyed everything, especially our pork entree and mushroom tart . Its a wonderful addition to Playhouse Square area.
