Frankie’s is so great. The food is fantastic. The cocktails are delicious. The pizza next door is the best in Nashville. And drum roll please….the prunes and mascarpone dessert is my favorite dessert of all time! Mic drop!

The menu offered a number of unusual options. One of our party tried the ravioli with sweet potato filing and thought it was good. I had the pasta with lamb Ragu and while the lamb was good the sauce was overpowering—something subtler that let the lamb itself stand out would have been better. The one thing we all agreed was excellent was the Caesar salad. The romaine was fresh and delicious, as was the dressing and we liked the generous helping of Parmesan. The more traditional pasta dishes tried by our party were good but not exceptional. Our server was very good—personable and efficient. The music was very loud and he nicely turned the volume down on the speakers nearest us.

Food was sooo good. Lamb ragu was off the charts. The selection of wines by the glass were delicious too.
