Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

Had high hopes. The space is very nice - new, high ceilings. Asked ahead of time for a high top, they brought us to a regular table squished between 2 other tables even though there were high tops available so decided to eat at the bar. Calamari was terrible - tasted fishy. Seemed like I could have gotten better In The frozen section a grocery store. Ordered the bolognese and the server forgot to put the order in. Half hour later, asked about it, she admitted she forgot. Once it came it was very good. Served ended up comping the pasta, which was nice. But service in general was slow and onerous. No one ever cleaned up the bar area after people got up to leave and next people sat. Serving items, napkins and food were just left sitting there for the entire time we were there. We will not be back.

We were in the small private room with friends so it a pleasure to be able to talk and hear one another. Our service was attentive and the food was great. The evening was relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back!!

We love the Mia Francesca brand. We decided to try the new location in Lincolnwood since it’s the closest to our house. It did not disappoint. Service was outstanding!!! Cocktails were amazing! Italian chopped salad, salmon, and whitefish were delicious! We will definitely be back! Beautiful bar!!

The food was amazing. Love the ambience. Attentive but not intrusive service. What a lovely addition to the neighborhood!

Had an amazing experience. Jeff, our server, was extremely kind and helpful; very accommodating and friendly. Would go back again just for that guy.

We loved everything, especially the rigatoni with sausage. I would love to see a grilled calamari option on the menu and happy hour specials. I also enjoyed the Tiramisu. Service was great, considering it was a very busy Valentine’s Day evening. We will definitely be back!
