Our dining room & bar are adorned with the warm tones & lush colours of our rustic New Scotland landscape – a nod to the Annapolis Royal 2017 Celebration Tartan. Our patio offers a refreshing salty breeze on warm summers days while boasting a stunning view of the Annapolis River & North Mountain beyond. Soft Celtic music playing in the background & fragrant aromas drifting from the kitchen will fill your senses while you sip on a local creation from behind our bar.

    Wonderful fixed price meal. Pricey but you really received gourmet prepared entrees, appetizers and fantastic desert. Wine pairing option was accurate and well matched. Our server was patient in explaining the various dishes and service was just right. Terrific ambience in a beautiful setting.

    The service at Founders House was as you would expect, attentive, polite, and hospitable. The food preparation was excellent with visually appealing dishes presented in a beautiful manner. The chef de partie clearly has talent as the desserts were particularly beautiful. The food was good overall, however, it was not memorable. It was good, but nothing set it apart from other fine dining establishments. The portions were also on the small size, as we had the three-course set menu and left hungry...

    We had the 6 course tasting menu paired with an exquisite red wine recommended by the sommelier. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everything was creatively prepared and served at a relaxed but attentive pace. It was a lovely evening from start to finish.

    The 6-course tasting menu with the wine pairing was nothing short of phenomenal. The service was top notch, we can’t wait to do it again!

    As always, dinner at Founders was exceptional—the menu was exciting and excellent, the service impeccable, the atmosphere relatively quiet for conversation. It’s a memorable experience, one that we look forward to every summer. The extensive bar and cocktail possibilities are unique esp. for the area it serves. They deserve a Michelin star.

    Everything was amazing. We celebrated our anniversary dinner last night and this gem of a place was such a treat. Delicious gourmet food...authentic service...great atmosphere. Thank-you!

    Quite possibly the best meal experience I’ve ever had. The time and care in each dish prepared, was obvious. Five star dining!
