Wonderful spot for a rainy evening cocktail and bite. Superb staff relaxed w time to tell us of their wonderful offerings.

I find it strange that none of the servers bothered to introduce themselves. Beyond that, service was efficient but a bit aloof, not even sure why. It’s a lounge behind a bookcase. Pricing is about what you would expect at a Fairmont lounge so that much wasn’t a surprise. I just found the whole experience sort of lackluster

The vibe of the place was nice it was supposed to resemble a speakeasy. However no one is at the door to let you in and the prices of the small hors d’oeuvres were astronomical. The food was much better outside in the main lobby but overall it was a nice location

Unfortunately our experience fell flat. The hostess was not present upon arrival so we stood outside the book shelf for a while before just going in. We were meeting friends who were already inside and they ended up just walking in as well. Server was nice, but it took her a while to greet us and drinks took a good ten minutes. Bar was only half full so it wasn’t overly busy.

A fun atmosphere and idea, but it took 40 mins for the cocktails to arrive. Might just do drinks in the hotel lobby next time.

For a speakeasy, it lacked the The speakeasy. Door was always open. Chairs looked cozy however we not. Pricing was outrageous. Felt like was just in another part of the hotel bar.
