Horsforth-born Matt Healy, known from MasterChef: The Professionals, has come home to Horsforth!

Matt’s ‘food to swear by’ brand has made a real impact on the Leeds dining scene, earning him a 2024 Michelin Plate for the 3rd consecutive year and a mention in The Good Food Guide. His focus on modern British cooking has won over both diners and critics alike.

MasterChef judge Marcus Wareing praised Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted,” while Jay Rayner’s Guardian review simply said, “Bloody hell, that’s good”—though not quite in those exact words.

With experience working alongside some of the best in the industry, Matt’s bringing together a talented team to deliver excellent food and service right here in Horsforth.

Great place to meet friends and eat and drink. Great service and the food was delicious. Well presented and staggered as small plates to share. Great atmosphere. The only thing I would say and would have liked as a choice is more vegetables or salad dishes. I do like a bit of greenery with my meat. Not many vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend and go again.

We went to Forde to celebrate my birthday as we’d heard great things. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely but the place was freezing! The staff tried to accommodate with a heater and offered to move us but the whole restaurant was cold. I didn’t want to complain and ruin the evening but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The restaurant had been closed over the festive period which obviously contributed to it, or it could be the fact they don’t have an insulated roof! It was such a shame. Hopefully knowing this, they can do something about it.

Great local buzzy place with a great vibe. The staff all know their jobs and really seem to enjoy themselves. We sat at the bar and were worried about how that might be but it was a great experience

Wonderful evening, had 6 of the small plate, which a tad too much. Fave dish wre the steak and Carrot salad. Superb service.

The best Sunday lunch we have probably eve4 had! Melt in the mouth perfectly cooked beef, amazing veg and roasties. Deserts were fab also. Drinks were reasonably priced with a good selection. Staff were very polite and friendly. Dog enjoyed himself too! Can’t recommend this small restaurant enough. We were visiting the area but will definitely go again next time

Fantastic as always. Incredible food and the staff is amazing. We absolutely love this restaurant and love coming back every time. It’s an absolute must go to!

Nice atmosphere, excellent cocktails and really good food . Tapas style so medium sized plates and sharing all the food - was very tasty and interesting, only downside was the steak dish came quite a bit after the rest were pretty much finished. Service excellent and very attentive and good atmosphere. Would recommend

Delicious food and great value for money for a Sunday lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Food was plated well but under seasoned in many of the dishes. Tables too small for several small plates at one time (kitchens timings not by customer request) and placed too close together so at times when front of house staff were serving other tables would be intruding on next table. Attention to when drinks were requiring refresh could have been better, though staff were friendly throughout. Overall fairly nice food that could be elevated with more attention to balance and seasoning and one less table to be more comfortable for diners.
