Horsforth-born Matt Healy, known from MasterChef: The Professionals, has come home to Horsforth!

Matt’s ‘food to swear by’ brand has made a real impact on the Leeds dining scene, earning him a 2024 Michelin Plate for the 3rd consecutive year and a mention in The Good Food Guide. His focus on modern British cooking has won over both diners and critics alike.

MasterChef judge Marcus Wareing praised Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted,” while Jay Rayner’s Guardian review simply said, “Bloody hell, that’s good”—though not quite in those exact words.

With experience working alongside some of the best in the industry, Matt’s bringing together a talented team to deliver excellent food and service right here in Horsforth.

We had an exceptional meal and experience at Forde. My friends came up from Liverpool for my Birthday and I wanted to treat them so a lovely meal and Forde always feels like such a treat. The food was excellent! Especially the steak and the salmon, but to be honest, it was all delicious. The service was outstanding - friendly, helpful and efficient staff. I brought my dog with me and they couldn't have been more welcoming with her. lovely venue and atmosphere and just overall and wonderful experience :)

1st visit, we both had the 2 course Sunday lunch. Very tasty meal and superb gravy. The veggies were cooked to perfection. Excellent service. Looking forward to a mid week visit to try the small plates menu.

Went for Sunday roast. Veggie and meat options. Slightly overwhelmed by amount of roast beef and chicken. Yorkshire puds were perfect and vegetables excellent. Service couldn't have been better. Would like to try their small plates option in the week.

Fabulous Sunday Lunch. The quality and taste were wonderful. Definitely a top lunch. Love the cosy vibe too. We will definitely be back soon.

Had an absolutely lovely time at Forde. Such a lovely cosy setting. Staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive. Food was outstanding ,Will definitely return

The two members of staff were just wonderful. Attentive, friendly service. Unbelievable food. High quality produce and amazing flavour combinations. Unfortunately we did not have room for desert as the portions were surprisingly filling. The salmon and seaweed in particular were just stunning. Thank you! We will return!
