Horsforth-born Matt Healy, known from MasterChef: The Professionals, is excited to announce he’s expanding with a new restaurant in Ilkley while continuing his work in Horsforth.

Matt’s ‘food to swear by’ brand has become a favourite in the Leeds dining scene, earning recognition with a 2024Michelin Plate for the 3rd consecutive year and a mention in The Good Food Guide. Now, he's bringing the same style of modern British cooking to Ilkley.

MasterChef judge Marcus Wareing once described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted,” and Jay Rayner’s review in The Guardian simply stated, “Bloody hell, that’s good” (though not in those exact words).

With this new Ilkley opening, Matt and his experienced team are looking forward to serving up great food and service, both in Ilkley and back home in Horsforth.

Great service. They double checked all items for allergies and tweaked things to ensure they were gluten and dairy free. Food was delicious and a nice ambience too.

We had a wonderful evening at Forde ilkley yesterday. The food was outstanding, really imaginative and well cooked, and the atmosphere was great. Special mention to the staff who were all very friendly and got on well with each other, really nice atmosphere. It was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with attentive staff.

A great addition to Ilkley, wonderful food and great service. Accommodated my Gluten Free diet with no fuss. Great cocktails too!

Great new edition to Ilkley food scene. Service was good and waiting staff knowledgeable of the food and drinks. Small plate style food with generous portions and good price point. The background music was a little noisy for a lunchtime from the older ones in our party but it was Christmas and lots off hard services. They did turn down the music on request which was appreciated. Will be back.

We had a lovely evening at Forde Ilkley . The food was delicious and I enjoy the way the small plates are freshly made and come out of the kitchen as they are ready. All the food is very tasty.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday dinner! Beef was plentiful and really tender/ cooked to perfection. Service and staff were brilliant.

Warm welcome. Relaxed and buzzy atmosphere. Service was attentive at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious and beautifully presented without being pretentious. Our party included someone who doesn’t understand the concept of small plates or sharing and they were catered for. Two vegetarians and two meat eaters. Everyone had plenty to choose from.

What a wonderful evening. We were very well looked after though I didn’t catch the name of our server (she had red shoes 😃). The food was excellent and the atmosphere just right. I’m sure the restaurant will do really well and we will definitely be back; again and again. Thank you 😃
